That onside kick was brilliant. Slow moving hard spinning helicopter that covered exactly 10 yards. I don't think the Falcons didn't know the rules - I think none of them wanted to try to field that hard spin with Cowboys all around it - instead hoping it would come up short. Caught them completely off-guard. Mark my words, this is the formula every kicker will be working on from now on - it has a legit chance of working if you pull it off the spin and distance... kicking team can literally walk along with it, and dare the receiving team to try to field it knowing there's a good chance it won't be a clean pickup due to the spin. This one is all on the kicker, you couldn't do it any better.

Two reasons the Falcons players didn't fall on the ball and both are related to how the ball was kicked. 1. The Falcons players thought the ball was going out of bounds which would then allow them to get the ball. 2. Because of the way the ball was kicked with an in between speed this made the ball appear that it wouldn't go the 10 yards. Players on the kick off receiving team are told to avoid touching the ball if it looks like it won't make it to the 10 yard mark. They would then get the ball. Because the kicker was able to kick the ball with an in between speed this caused the Falcons to hesitate with falling on it because it looked like the ball wouldn't go 10 yards.

That onside kick hypnotized the falcons...lol
