A compilation of video clips from RU-vid etc. featuring Cowdenbeath drivers from the 1970s & 1980s, either from Cowdenbeath Raceway itself, or from other tracks where Cowdenbeath drivers were attending for championships etc.
On the video I've tried to label the main drivers seen in each clip, and (room permitting) any other drivers seen in that clip (non-Cowdenbeath drivers in brackets).
Saloon Stocks: Keith Jarman (46), Bob Jones (151), Gordon Brown (131), Robert Bruce (330), David Forrest (125), Willie Miller (8), Robert Mackay (114), Harry Burgoyne (68), John Maxwell (132), Gordon Barclay (99), Ernie Burgoyne (47), James Honeyman (110), Neil Petrie (202), George Chirray (197), Alan Ross (248), John Burns (121), Robert Gold (126), Jimmy Forrest (120).
Hot Rods: Dougie Farrer (23), Les Kay (64 & 4), Graham Wait (140), James Blair (150), David MacLaren (181), Kenny Ireland (196), Ian Ostrau (156).
Superstox: Les Clark (39), David Moir (75), Bill Pullar (81), Les Brown (84), Robin Brown (87), Vic Russell (94).
Notable non-Cowdenbeath drivers: John Aylward (6), Bert Houben (115), Harold Krievans (156), Eddie George (226), Eddie Aldous (238), Deane Wood (302), Barry Lee (351), Mick Duffy Collard (19), Neil Bee (482), Robin Randall (206).
Many thanks to all the people who have uploaded and shared their old VHS (Betamax?) stock car racing videos from this golden era. Stock car racing fans are magic!

No safety fence in those days. Wheels would come off into the crowd and everywhere. I always remember Ernie Burgoyne NO: 47, he was the hatchet man at Cowdie and every chance he got , he put an English driver into the wall.

Great stuff! I'm a Barry lee fan but saw graham wait several times at Cowdenbeath and he always looked really quick but never seemed to get it together any where else! Strange!!

hi thanks for your reply,i know how crazy the engine stakes got!,burton were the ultimate at one time, but then mick collard seemed to get a few extra horses courtesy of holbay racing engines, then blue line,MASS and MBE all joined the fray an engine developed and built just for barry lee was reputed to have cost him and his sponsers between eight and ten grand,a lot of cash now,but crazy money back then!!,(this rumour was never confirmed!!),(blue line were the builders)
