** I was going to put music over this edit (because of the bad audio from the wind) but I decided to leave it raw and lower the volume. I know not everyone likes the same music and I do agree that usually, watching surfing with the raw sound is better. The winter period often brings the best swells and wind directions along the south coast of NSW. It was no surprise that Cowries was going off with some mental waves breaking over the second reef, some managing to successfully ride them, and others wiping out copping the power of the water, followed by a one-way ticket into the shallow reef.
It was great fun filming from the rocks, seeing this incredible wave break. Hopefully I will be able to film more of this wave in the future!
