All the kids! They probably have no idea how much happiness they have brought us! And look at Rich, those wonderful siblings putting him right there with them, just as it should have always been. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was fortunate enough to speak with him after the show. Very pleasant and friendly. He told me he was thinking of giving up music and attend college in Canada to become a psychologist.
Wonderful! This is Jason Cowsill (son of Bob) and this was such a welcome upload to RU-vid. Thank you. I was at this show, and it was the last time I was with all of my family together at the same time... so a special memory on a lot of fronts. Sounds like there's a Part 2 coming? Very much looking forward to seeing whatever other footage you have.
Jason Cowsill or Holden190 -- Is that Barry hiding behind Bill? I LOVE The Cowsills. I saw them and met them, got autographs at The Minnesota State Fair in 1969. They were all so friendly, including Barbara. Great video. I'm a musician/singer/songwriter myself. The last band I performed in was my group Cowboy Angels. I am now struggling with cancer. I enjoy watching all the Cowsill videos - cheers me up.
Jason Cowsill Jason is that really you? I hope you guys can get down south someday and do some shows maybe around Alabama somewhere. I'm around Johns age so I have been a fan for a long time, Love you guys !!
It was so good hearing Bill Cowsill singing lead again. He's wonderful and love that all Cowsills singing together. I love them all so much. They are so talented and I wish I was there.
They are NOT just one of those "retro" bands, they have true talent. So many bands of that era existed on gimmicks. The Cowsills had a gimmick - it's called TALENT.
I freaking love this!!!!! So glad they are back in my life! Been the biggest Cowsill fan since the '60's. Can't get enough of them. I learned to harmonize listening to them. Devastated about Bill, Barry and Dick. But they still ROCK!!
I actually teared up when I heard the first notes of "The Rain..." I've been a fan since 1965 and seeing that concert was a dream come true. It was EXTREMELY emotional for me.
@@holden190 I did not discover the Cowsills until 6 yrs ago. Back then I was into The Who, Guess Who and Led Zeppelin. My sister was crazy about them. They are so talented. I can not believe it. Im a big fan now.
This is so wonderful. Bob was diggin' singing with Bill again, wasn't he? You wouldn't know this was the first time They'd played together in years. I'm so thankful somebody got this on tape!
Great to see this much talked about show with all the kids together on stage. From L to R: Paul (keys, vocals), Susan (vocals, tambourine), Dickie (b/u vocals, tambourine in white t-shirt) Bob (lead guitar, vocals), John (drums, vocals), Bill (rhythm guitar, vocals in white shirt) Barry (Vocals, 12 string guitar w/ long hair). They also have some additional musicians on stage with them.
One of the most momentous couple of days in the history of Pop/Rock music. I'm so glad all seven siblings got one more chance to play together live and that we all had the chance to see them. Thanks to folks like Dennis DeMarco we have it to watch forever!!
That is special seeing Bob & Bill reunited. They were the 2 that started it all, when they were just kids. They were playing real gigs when they were 14 & 13yo. Incredibly talented, the whole family. Vastly underappreciated.
Unbelievable talent! I am watching every "Cowsill" video I can, & this is one of the best. So versatile, real people, real talents. WOW!They could do any music-I'm speechless.
I wish I could buy this dvd as I love them all singing together as adults. I have been a lifelong fan of the Cowsills. I listen to them all the time especially when I need cheering up. ❤️ 💕 💗 love the Cowsills. Bill Barry Bob Richard Barry John and Susan. RIP Bill Richard and Barry. Susan has same birthday as my daughter Kelly on May 20. Happy Belated Birthday Susan.
This is so awesome! This is GREAT MUSIC! So many incredible songs I haven't heard. I always liked the Cowsills but too much other music was pushed out and this was buried. This is freaking AWESOME!
They never got , and sadly never will, get the recognition they deserve. Watching the show is bittersweet since Billy, Richard, and Barry have passed. May they RIP.
First off, I sure hope Part 2 turns up somewhere soon. This is like the ultimate Cowsills nugget to find. All the siblings together? Unfreaken-believable. Bill Cowsill was a badass. With him in front, this band looks...dangerous! Not a word you associate with Cowsills. Great!
incredible that the stage holds so much talent, great to see them ALL together! rock on Cowsills....Many top acts of today WISH they had this much talent!!!!!!!!!!
Wow ...All seven Cowsills - this should have been a television special for everyone to see and enjoy!!!!! Sure would be nice today to have John rejoin his surviving siblings (as well as have some of offsprings of those who have passed on perform with them).
When I was young, the Cowsills was the very first album I ever bought, with my "kid" money. I wasn't a cutesy "I love Barry!" fan. I loved the harmonies and great songs. To this day I appreciate their great musicality. Love them, and their music.
I was born in 1960. Had a major crush on Susan as an eight year old. We went on family vacation to Indian Lake,Ohio in 1968. Same time that their Mega hit Indian Lake dominated the charts. Precious memories. ....Thanks 😊 Cowsills
this band is abundantly talented....wished they did more originals in the early years, unfortunately that wasnt up to them. The later stuff is really awesome and gives me Eargasms . gonna continue listening to these guys til the bitter end..... 80,000 views and 1000 likes says something...ROCK ON COWSILLS!!!!
'𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞' (@18:50) was written by Bill's 𝑩𝒍𝒖𝒆 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒔' bandmate, Jeffrey Hatcher, but Bill definitely put his own indelible mark on it. Bill's covers were often as good as or better than the originals.
I was a kid in the mid sixties when the Cowsills were in their heyday. They were very talented and I loved their sound. Very sad that some of them have passed. Thanks for the memories.
I can't get over how wonderful this is ... not just the music - which is darn near perfect - but for the fun they're having with each other and with the audience. I can't wait for Part II. Thank you so much for posting this.
Always excellent vocals unmatched even Susan and her husbands work and John played down the road recently in Asbury Park NJ with The Beach Boys against the wind lol which totally dampened volume unless you were upwind lol and that’s love beach music for ya
I AM IN MÉXICO COUNTRY. BUT, I LIKE VERY MUCH THIS SONG. NOW I LISTEN THIS BEATIFUL SONG, I ASK MYSELF WHAT HAPENED WHIT COWSILL. I'M GLAD TO SEE THIS GROUP 50 YEARS AFTER. CONGRATULATION!
I just can't get enough of these TORI videos, so I hope I'm not overloading the comments section, but... this is a John comment...It is so much fun watching the interactions, the goofing off, and the mild bantor between the siblings. It was so fun the way John finally got a word in edgewise when he started banging his cymbals early on trying to get the others to start playing the music @ 2:30. I only wish they had put John on a higher platform so he could be seen better, or at least lit him up better. Thanks for posting these videos!
@@holden190, I did notice Barry staying in the background for most of the show. Was that so Bill could have more of the spotlight or was that just Barry's nature to stay out of the spotlight?
As a lifelong fan and follower of the Cowsills, this video part 1 is a a dream come true, to see all the siblings together play and sing those fabulous songs♡♡I never had the chance to see the Cowsills as a young teen but am so grateful to the peeps who posted the video for all to see; the music is as fresh for me today as it was as a teen; A truly gifted and talented band together as well as individual projects done by each person! I hope that part 2 will be posted as I want to see Barry sing with his brothers and sis. Joy and gratitude for this wonderful post☆♡☆♡☆
He is! He wanted to bass his bass parts on Hair, and did. Imagine he was around 13 when he played the same parts. I was there for this entire weekend and have to say The Cowsills are not only a fantastic, talented band, but wonderful, caring people. I love all of them as a friend and a fan. Miss you Barry, Rich and Billy and of course, Barbara. That weekend was a dream come true. Indescribable really. So lucky to be there.
Thank you for sharing this...I only see performances from the 60's..then recent with only Bob, Paul, and Susan...this is nice to see most of them together...
Great to see the entire family, save for mini-mom. Especially great to see Billy back with the band. Throw in some gem songs like The Rain, Rescue and Deliver me and this is just an awesome piece of footage. Thanks for sharing!
Been rediscovering their music of late...I have a new record player! Now with the internet stuff, it's Cowsill's mania! This is really awesome - thank you for posting. I do wish there was a song list though - but hey grateful for the vid at any rate!!
I never did fallow one band growing up, just the hits! But I did fall in love with that little girl "Susan" who was a year or 2 older than me. It wasn't till recently at The Happy Together Tour 2015' that I rediscover The Cowsills AND Never Knew It WAS THEM WHO Sang "Love American Style" and "Hair"! Love you guys! Love you Susan! wish we could have met?
wow! The Cowsills are just pure quality... most of the time when a group from that era plays a new song (if they ever do) it's a bit of a bummer, but the new stuff here is just awesome
