It would be nice if the AMA museum would carefully disassemble all Cox and Testors planes and have the parts 3D scanned. So the files could be shared and those with 3D printers could make new models for this generation. There are plenty of Cox 049 motors still out there. Also those who can, could redesign the firewalls for electric motors.

Nice idea, but better left alone. These models were available to anyone with an interest and an insight into the future. For those lacking that rare attribute, they must succumb to their level of numbness that life is generally full of. And let's leave the ''greenies'' out of this. Gas engines are a classic statement of true Americana and the smell of nitro to the nostrils can never be duplicated by the spin of an armature.
