The irony of his only major battle being his last. Then again he never wanted to fight and was not one for bloodshed at all. And that's the core of Starrk, powerful enough to be number one and lethally skilled to hold his own, yet his own morals and lack of enthusiasm serve as balance. It's one big tragedy with him, the loss of Lillinette and him calling out to her to no response was the beginning of the end. At least he and Lillinette are not forgotten both within the series and out.

I really enjoyed the manga version after rereading the fight. And I noticed the little wolf sketches kubo made for starrk and lilinette. Showing one of them getting struck by a shadowy sword. Hinting at the moment when shunsui gets starrk in the back. And after that strike the wolves all disappear meaning she took the strike for starrk. Meaning one of them took the fall for the other and left the other one all alone. And the wolf couldn't handle being alone so it stayed with it's friend's body until both of them perished. And they turned into nothing. Starrk story is so sad. He didn't want to fight. He just wanted friends.

One detail I like is how in the starrk pov with the other espada. Everyone else is in front of starrk, except yammy. Meaning yammy is behind starrk. hinting at yammy being the top espada. Since he is no.0

I liked Starrk, it really is a shame we didnt see more of what he could do considering he was the primera espada. Would have liked to see him come back like another certain espada (dont wanna spoil for anime only viewers)

The theme "never die alone" has popped in Bleach three times in different arcs. First one was Kaien telling that to Rukia. Next is Starrk stating that he's not alone, as he dies. And third was when Tsukishima was dying, while getting carried by Moe. It's a contrast and completely different interpretation of JJK's theme, "You will always die alone".

I really wish Kubo gave more time and care to Starrk, Barragan, and Harribel. I think they could and should have had more impact on the series

Indeed. In the end it's great that Harribel, with Grimmjow, Nel and their Fracciones have created peace in Las Noches in the post TYBW era. I'm sure Starrk would like that since he was not a war or conflict monger. It's the opposite of the tragic nightmares unleashed by Aizen and Yhwach.

Of the characters most underutilized in the series, I think Starrk takes the cake, followed closely by Jushiro. Starrk and Halibel both subvert the monstrous tendencies of the other Arrancar, with Starrk arguably being the least monstrous as Hallibel is more quick to engage in violence and informs her subordinates to relish their primal emotions. Being one of the few current espada to be a natural arrancar and basically indisputably a vasto lorde as well, even if its not explicitly stated, gives him a trait unique among his peers: He's essentially evolved from his origins as a monster into a powerful being not lacking in any of the humanity that a "full" creature enjoys. Unlike many of the espada who are villains by their nature, Starrk is entirely a villain by circumstance. I honestly think it's a shame that Mayuri didn't collect his body for his zombie arrancar corps, but there's always hope to see him again if we get more of the hell arc.

The problem with Stark is, he is so powerful he dont have actual battle experience not only this he only fight because people are trying to kill his "friends" people think Ulquiorra is stronger, he apears stronger because we see him fighting an all out battle.

Opinion impopular: What we saw is good, loneliness shows its negative side and the desire of not wanting to use its objective, in this case, ending the shinigami, thus giving a very good character and one that is not necessary, overvaluing him, that is, that What we saw is not necessary to stretch it many more, it was in its arc and closed very well... I don't think the espadas' numbers mean strength level - mostly because these were given by aizen Aizen has an agenda, giving barragan the number 2 for example I believe he gave ulquiorra the number 4 and sent him ichigo's way with the intent to send the protagonist down a pit of despair Also No one is convincing me that yammy was the strongest

There was no agenda in Barragan getting the number 2. Yammy had the potential to have the most spiritual pressure due to his rage ability. Being the strongest does not necessarily translate to being the best in a fight. The nr. 0 thing was dumb but it is what it is

Edit: also, aizen clearly wanted to put barragan in his place. he didn't enlist him in his army, he overthrew his reign as king and put him as number 2 to make a point, that's very clear to me at least

I have to agree, even to this day I do not care for Love and Rose at all. Not that I want Kubo to develop them more and give them more screen time, 'cause I don't think I'd be interested in that either. One thing I also found curious about Stark is how it sorta foreshadowed even further the way Kenpachi and Yachiru's dynamic works.

Great video. I don't mind starrk overall. I know a lot of people like him, but I've never found him that interesting. He is possibly the espada, I like the least.
