I just hope people realize the amount of effort the NHL put into keeping a team in Arizona.The NHL really did want this team to succeed but it could just never catch a break.
Gary Buttman giving them as much chances as he did is exactly what rankled the nerves of people in "bread and butter" markets in Canada and the northern US...
I used to not care about Hartford, Atlanta and Quebec losing their teams because there's no way it will happen to my team....well look at where I'm at now :|
The NHL has guaranteed them an expansion team...yet Bettman won't even consider solid Canadian markets that have for more potential than the US southwest...what a backward league.
