Your quilt turned out beautifully! I love the contrast from back to front. I'm really inspired by that. Health and safety to you during your last days before and the coming days of your newborn baby time. Today I'm knitting on my partner's cardigan which has been a labor of love. I combined different techniques from 3 different patterns and advice from Elizabeth Zimmerman's Knit One, Make one. Long story, I'm on the sleeves and so close to being done with it :)
I just finished binging literally all of your podcast episodes… so it’s safe to say I really enjoy your stuff! Your FOs are absolutely gorgeous! And that little quilt is amazing! I know you already had your baby (via your instagram) so congratulations! I hope you have a lovely maternity leave, and don’t feel pressured to come back to us, enjoy those baby snuggles!
I have done (lace) patterns on 9 inch circular needles and it worked pretty smoothly, at least for me! I am in love with that quilt, it turned out so beautiful and your boy will love it so much, for sure! Best of luck in the next few days/weeks!
I'm selfishly glad that you were able to upload again before the baby arrived :P Sending good vibes your way! I've been working on the muru pullover and not buying more yarn lol
Gorgeous work! Welcome to the wonderful baby!! I'm working on my second stranded colorwork project, a sweater with hearts on it (Bean & Olive by Andrea Mowry) for my two-year-old girl who loves hearts. :) Thanks for inspiring us, too!
Your baby quilt is a true "labor of love" and very beautiful! You are an amazing young woman. Everything you make is just so pretty. Enjoy your new baby!
God Bless you Mel, as you enter into this new phase of life with a precious gift of a baby! Praying for your new baby's health as well as you and Tim. Thanks for sharing your knitting/quilting life with us. Everything you make is stunning.
the Loimu cardigan is very nice, you very patient to do the bobbles, I avoid them whenever possible🤨 great work on the Grass works jumper, especially the yoke if you can make another video before baby, good if not no worries. just rest as much as possible, and concentrate on Junior and yourself, housework can wait keep taking care xxxxxx
Everytime you show your frequency sweater, I just die. It is looking stunning. Also, I hope that you and your soon to be here son are healthy and happy (Tim too!). Early congrats on your new addition to your beautiful family!
Congrats on finishing the quilt! I'm so amazed at your productivity. I'll miss your videos when you have the little one..wishing you a speedy and safe recovery!
The cardigan your wearing is gorgeous, such a good pairing of pattern and yarn. I have been knitting sweater no 18 while watching. All the very best for the coming weeks to you and your family
I've JUST finished a "big sis + lil sib" for my cousin who's expecting baby #2, but I haven't had the mojo to embroider their names on the front as requested... oops. To make up for it, I'm knitting surprise Carhartt-style beanies with the leftover yarn.
I just love your style of knitting & the patterns you choose, I’m a newer knitter & have only made shawls & socks but I definitely want to buy a sweater quantity of yarn for one of these beautiful sweaters!
I wonder if it’s the brioche that is distorting the ribbing of your Amara sweater since the gauge of brioche is not the same as normal knitting. I bet it will block out fine
