Nice job! When I did the 2 for my grandkids, I coated the final paint job with a Matte clear coat and it looked great and seems to absorb bumps a lot better without losing paint.
I needed inspiration. I'm redoing one for my granddaughter. This is SO cute! Now I'm torn between doing a girly one and our original idea - a Denver Broncos coupe!
I always wanted to do this but funny enough Peopel are reselling their cozy coupes[very used btw] for like 40-50$ 😭 but i have two weeks until my baby brothers 2nd birthday so im hoping i find a relatively cheap one for the project 😌
I didn’t use a separate primer, just the paint that was a 2-in-1 primer and paint :) I also didn’t sand it, but I’m sure you could! I just did a deep clean on it and that was good enough for ours! I painted it in July and it’s still going strong :) a couple chips but that’s to be expected with a toddler. Haha
We’ve had it a year and it’s doing pretty well!! A couple scratches but that’s to be expected. Definitely holding up better than I thought. If you add a clear top coat, it’ll hold up even better.
I painted the entire car white first, so the seat was part of that. Then I just painted the pink carefully around the seat as to not get pink on the seat. :) hope that helps!
I saw countless Pinterest posts before starting this project, not necessarily specific videos. Super grateful for all that research but also don’t ever expect others to credit me when they make a toy for their kids! 💗
