Really the difference some little changes can make in a room. Before it seemed as if the headboard was a miniature and now we can see it as "fully grown". Forgive if my explanation is a little confusing but english is not my mother language 😊

As someone nearing my 80s it's fascinating to me how designs and techniques go in and out of fashion. Aged about 8 or 9, in 1953 or 54, I watched my Mam repaint a wall with very much this method except she used distemper. It's an ancient product but cheap, and she used several light colours and scrunched up rags and mixed them directly on the wall. It was easier and way cheaper than wallpaper which was more the thing back in England then. Each time I see this done I'm taken right back to watching her pounce away, and how pretty it looked. It's still a lovely technique! 😍
@Beruthiel45 thanks for sharing this. I lost my mom and dad in 2020 and I loved the stories mom would share with me about their home when she was a child. My grandparents raised 12 children in that original 2 room house. My grandfather later added a kitchen and bathroom and enclosed the back porch as a Laundry room. The family home was sold in 2019. It had a total of 5 rooms and a bathroom. It still boggles my brain how my grandparents raise their large family in such a small home. I’m sure Love was a big factor. 🤟🏼🤍
Danie, we are renovating an 1800’s schoolhouse so I feel your pain. Love that ulu. Amongst the Inuit, where this knife design has been used for thousands of years) it’s a woman’s knife. They are widely used in Nunavut/NWT, Nunatsiavut/Labrador. They are very multi-functional and some are very beautiful. The shape alone is gorgeous. Edited to add WOW! That bedroom is awesome.

I absolutely love the shelf. I kinda wanted to keep the moss and bark. Haha And oh my gosh I love the linens! The burgundy is so rich against the cream and greige. I would love that. And and and that mirror is lovely as well. Great job. 💕

I like your style a lot...if it have to have a name what about "Daniecosy" or "hygge" thats denish and means a special kind of cosy. Wow I love the stained wicker table. It makes it warmer and richer looking. I also love the headboard stain. It looks beautiful. Your whole room turned out amazing. One thought for you? Would your paper bowl work to cover your light frame on your ceiling? I think the painting you did is fine, just a thought if you don't love it. And it would tie it to your bedside lights which are so cool.
