I started with azure beauty brand back in 2019 when I decided I hated being so stressed out after having been to the salon and knowing how much money I spent. 😮😢 i love having my nails done, it makes me feel pretty and girlie! 😎🤣 So Amazon had the azure beauty and I had found a pretty nice all in one dip kit that had everything I needed to start my nail journey. I loved it! It’s really the only major brand I buy except I will use Modalones of course! But always azure beauty dip liquid. The key is that you really don’t have to rush to get your finger into the dip. I just do it in a comfortable time and don’t stress over it. Thin layer of the base, if you put too much and your dipping into the pot it may ripple giving you all these lumps and bumps that you will have to deal with. I just carefully apply a thin layer much like Marla does, then I dip or spoon on the powder shake of the excess and leave it…don’t brush off yet. Then I move to the next nail. When I’m don’t with that nail I brush off the nail I did before and so on. You have to give the base time to dry, if you don’t then your brushing off powder and it will be uneven looking at some point. Believe me. Listen to what Marla is saying and watch what she does, she even takes her time to make sure after her dip that the cuticle area looks good. See how much time you have to work with even a thin application of base? It’s not drying in 2 seconds you can make sure that everything is good before it’s dry. Great cheeta print girl! I love those colors! Totally enjoyed watching 😊 can’t wait till the next one! 🩷💙💜💚🩵💖💜💙
I re read my comment and found a word replacement that was wrong and I fixed it in edit. Started reading again and found another, I’m not going to keep editing since I should have proof read before posting. I hope you get what I mean. Apple can sometimes be so annoying with their auto anything when you are typing. 😡🤬🤯🤭
I have this gold on right now as a glitter ombré for Childhood Cancer Awareness month. It was so easy to work with. Modelones is by far my favorite dip powder/acrylic right now.
I made the mistake of leaving some nails on my workspace that I had covered with black gel. I didn’t get back to them for a few days and learned the error of my ways when I finally gave up picking black & white kitty hairs 🐈⬛ off of them 🙄. Now I slip a baggie over them in the interim. Pretty mani. Thank You for sharing! 😊 ✌️💕
I DO love that nuuu….eutral! Def agree liquid control is everything. I love my Maniboss liquids, but I might have to give Azure (sp?) a try, when I run low. 🐆
you are such an inspiration! I feel so motivated to do my nails at home when I watch your vids! and I am getting so good at it because of you! I do need a little help on dip with tips ! ☺️
So funny! I do Wet n Wild's e-commerce for a specific retailer and I geeked so hard when we started working on Alice in Wonderland. I admit, I was trying to suggest they send me a PR kit, LOL. They did not... I actually use a big fluffy body brush from Urban Decay... and I have their Alice in Wonderland palette from... what 10 or 15 years ago. It's precious! I can't throw it away!
Unrelated question - How do you wash your table towel? By hand in the sink? I really don't want glitter in all my clothes by putting them in the washer.
I used the gelish dip powder system and when put on powder what caused spots where powder did not adhere. Also when I put on topcoat it looked shiny but turned matte and rough what did I do wrong. Thanks
Sometimes, dip base coat dries before you have a chance to dip. That’s likely why the powder isn’t sticking in some spots. If you have a fat drying base, try a coat of base lone on the nail first and just let that dry. Then, base again and dip. That first layer of base can slow the dry time of the next coat. Dip top requires 2 coats so if you’re only doing one, that’s why. It also requires activator prior to the top (activator is what cures the base and top) here are my dip top steps! - activate - wait a minute - wipe nails with a dry paper towel - apply dip top in 2-3 quick strokes wiping the brush on a paper towel after each nail - after all 5 nails are done, repeat the last step but also cap the edge - wait 5 min for dry time
@MarlaKris that's what I think happened I did not do a final coat of activate. Some turned out great though but 4 were a headache I got real frustrated with them. I appreciate you replying to me it means so much thanks for your advice and help
@@MarlaKris I cut them them then put them in the tray with a little water and wait until it slides off then I use a little foam tool thing that came with them and put it on my nail. Then top coat
I think the issue with “nude” is referring to a specific shade as nude, not as A nude, if that makes sense. Nude is a category, not a color. Everyone has their own nude shade depending on the depth of their skin, the undertone, etc. At the very least, that seems to be the tendency in the makeup community that I’m seeing.
