I Took my Wife to see a Show in the early 2000s ,I actually got a good Price for the Holiday (Vacation) Well it was Called a Weekend Break .But the Drink Prices in Some of the Pubs ,Bars were absolutely Ridiculous. Compared to the North of England. I only visit Northern Cities now York being my Favourite.

Sticky toffee pudding is one of the best things our taste buds have ever had the pleasure of eating 😍 That sausage roll was INSANE (marinating in butter for three years 😂)! And that Sunday roast! 🤤 Harry Potter and the Darkness of the Latter Day is my favorite of them all 🤪

I think your descriptions are lovely and completely relatable. Some people try to find specific or clever ways to critique food, but the mmm's and looks on your faces are worth a million words. Great video.Don't tell people about our sticky toffee pudding they're our secret, along with a cream tea with scones, jam and clotted cream. The Bloops were nice and appreciated.

Thanks for such a thoughtful comment, it means the world to us. We are not doing a good job keeping the secret about the sticky toffee pudding as we pretty much tell anybody who will listen about it. It was amazing. And oh my goodness, cream tea with scones, jam and clotted cream. I think I might just have to book a flight back right now 😃

There is no such thing as a bad sticky toffee pudding (maybe avoid Wetherspoons) - it's a classic, rich sponge pudding, we love our sponge puddings with cream, ice cream or custard.

Bubble and squeak, hash browns or just chips on an all day breakfast. Nothing odd about getting spuds with a full English. I'm not saying it's classic but it's definitely a part of the optional extras.

Traditional English food is very hearty but if you are in London you have to find a Traditional Pie,Mash and Eel shop there are many around ,Manze's,Goddards,Maureen's,H. Cooks ,Cockneys' all are good,you don't have to have the eels but you have to have it with the parsley liquor it's the only way.

I have a Ginger pig butchers shop by my house in West London... They do so many great dishes. Sausage roll wise - I would recommend the pork and stilton one - It is incredibly rich you would need to share it but WOW is it tasty!

It's black treacle that gives the sticky toffee pudding it's rich taste. It's not a baked sponge cake ( although a quick version could be) It's steamed, so it's a pudding, not a cake.

@ThePassportCouple you need to go to the place it was invented, Cartmel in our beautiful Lake District...don't eat fish & chips on this side of the country though, the fish from this part of the Irish sea has bee affected by radiation leaks from Windscale nuclear power station, pop over to Northumberland, or North Tyneside, experience gorgeous, long beaches, the largest forest in the UK, Keilder & it's observatory (2nd Dark Sky Park in the world after California) & largest in Europe. Also see THE most beautiful castles anywhere, this is the Kingdom of Castles, we have more in our county than any other county in the UK ! Watch Si,Drone guy, look for Bamburgh & you'll get the idea 😅

Black Pudding and Blood Sausage and not the same. Apart from the blood content, the many varieties of Blood Sausage have many different ingredients or cooking methods to Black Pudding.

@@chrisstones3488 Long before hash browns became a thing the b'fast potato of choice was the fried potato - made from cold, sliced boiled potato. Traditionally fried in bacon fat and much superior to the hash brown imposter. I cook them at home but you can still find them in some small cafes or hotels.

Been 11 years now...sigh...wish I could get back there. I can't stand melted ice cream, I always opted for heavy cream over my Sticky Toffee Pudding. And it's brown sugar sponge cake. It's so goood. And that brown onion gravy 😋 But please, it's York-shurr.

Why? Pub food around the UK is pretty much a standard menu. Maybe a hotpot would be the only thing different on a winter menu but the food they have set out to try is found on every pub menu

@@ThePassportCouple would just suggest look at trip advisor when going out for food or just google maps and see what the locals are saying about the establishment. Not every place that's says home cooked it, and they gravy came out of a tub and they just added water to it in my eyes. Hope you come back again though the uk is full of great places outside of London

Because it’s a world city and the capital, but it’s good that more and more tourists are now visiting other uk cities too, especially Birmingham ( probably my favourite uk city ), Manchester, Glasgow etc… on my last trip to Birmingham we met Australian, lots of European, Chinese, Canadian and American visitors… All seemed surprised by how cosmopolitan it is and that it had so much to do with absolutely brilliant range of restaurants, cafes, bars…
