Came for the books, stayed for the road rage and carpool karaoke 😂 I have been feeling similar to what you described - actually had a similar day to you yesterday - basked in the glory of january payday and cheered myself up with a trip to Waterstones and The Works ❤

Robin Hobb is fantastic! I just finished reading the Assassin trilogy a couple months ago and I adored it. Eagerly looking forward to the rest of her stuff. I wouldn't call it action-packed, but the detail and depth of character is just so good. And people say it only gets better, so I'm here for it 🤣Really hope you enjoy! Ironically, watching this was very cozy because it made me miss the UK 😛

My sister and I both get The January Blues too 🙁. It’s probably “a thang” for a lot of people here because we’re all skint and the crappy weather’s grey and gloomy. The Waterstones in my city is awesome. It’s got 4 floors and a large coffee shop so I go and camp out for half a day quite often ☺️📚💛

I love the Emily Wilde books, just finished the second one! I hope you enjoy it too 🥰

literally just read Assassins Apprentice! I liked it, but the lack of action in a book about someone training to be an assassin was a little tedious. I will be giving the second book a try though!
