A great tip, if you get the urge to go book shopping on this book ban, just go to your library. Check out however many books you feel like/can and act as if you're buying them. You bring them home and if you never read them then you just return them, no pain to your wallet! Plus, it helps out the library. They don't care if you read them, lol, just check 'em out. Sincerely, a member of a library staff 😌 P.s I would totally watch a library haul/trip vlog 😉

Lmao this is me right now and I go there so often I’m friends with the security guard and one of the librarians know my card number 😂. Also I like to buy the $0.50 books that they have if it’s books that is good (I managed to snag ‘If we were villains, people we meet on vacation and Ninth house’ all for $1.50 😂).

Darn it, I love your channel but I'm supposed to be on a book buying ban for a short time too (my tbr shelf keeps growing!) Just finished two books from your previous vlog. Love and other words- loved the “then and now”format and combination of young adult & women’s literature. Verity- I’m very new to this kind of genre but made an interesting read nonetheless. I agree with your previous review, I just don’t buy that letter at the end. omg no the 20% off is the price they have on the shelves already and the extra 5% is with the red card BUT what i do is price match the book with the online price and it’s usually significantly cheaper

I’m guessing whoever checked you out at Target is not typically a cashier. The 20% off is already included in the price lol. You didn’t pay full price - whatever you paid already had the 20% off factored in but it doesn’t show as a discount on the receipt. The sticker is more of a trick bc it’s like 20% off compared to other major retailers so whatever price was on the shelf has the 20% off factored in. The red card only gives you an extra 5% off. However there are sometimes deals on the Target app that you can only get with the app or a coupon from the weekly ads. Sincerely, someone who used to work at Target 😂 Id guess your cashier was either new or worked in a different department most of the time but everyone in the store (except for some of the tech guys) get trained on the register before anything else even if they’re not a “cashier”

@@khalilahd. you’re welcome! this was like one of the most frequently asked things when i was a cashier and i used to despise the stickers bc in my opinion they were very misleading in a sense. also, Target price matches so if you find them cheaper at another major retailer like Amazon they’ll adjust the price at the register too!

The 20% off is off of the original retail price not the price on the target label. So if the retail price is 9.99 and there is a 20% off sticker, the price target will charge you is about 8 dollars. You do not then get an additional 20% off as that would then be 40% off. However, a little tip that I used to tell customer is to scan each book in the target app. If the price on the app is lower than the price in the store, they can price match it for you. 😊
