We know we have already given a brief review on the CP400. But this time we wanted to test it out on the range and see if it really deserves all the hype.
OK Rich, this is totally your fault. I just bought a new crossbow. I'm retiring my Barnett Wildcat C5 after having to let a nice 2-year-old 6-point saunter by at 50 yards last year. Ravin accuracy and distance at 1/3 the price... the Centerpoint CP400 from eBay for $499. So.... thank you for all your crossbow reviews. I didn't know I needed a new crossbow until you educated me. I'm out of venison and my apple-fed deer are the best tasting around. As a mechanical engineer I can appreciate the Scorpyd's reverse-draw technology, but I need a narrow crossbow to shoot through the corner window of my blind. That's my excuse for a new crossbow. And I'm sticking with it.
I have read some reviews where people are complaining that the cocking sled cuts into the serving. Could you explain this or are these people doing something wrong?
You know what it really is a shame because I have to Ravin r10 crossbows that are really nice really accurate and really a well-made crossbow now Centerpoint has bought them and within five years they are going to have the raven made in China and there will goes to Quality Control and the crossbow will be no good they will take the most advanced crossbow that has ever been made and ruin it I'm just glad I got the two crossbows that I bought before Centerpoint bought them out and you know I bought a furious 9.5 crossbow as a backup to the Ravin crossbows that I have for bad weather and the Furious 9.5 really surprised me on how nice of a crossbow to be made in China or Japan or wherever it comes from it's got a really nice trigger very little creep 3 lb Pull but I only gave $550 for that crossbow I would have never paid $800 for it knowing that it was made in China and the Furious 9.5 crossbow was never made here in the United States like The Raven so I was okay with that
I know this is an old post; but before you started whining like a little bitch, you should have taken note that although Velocity Outdoors is now the parent company of both CenterPoint AND Raven, Velocity Outdoors keeps autonomous identity with Raven brand. And I am sure this is because they have kept manufacturing and operations the same as has been.
No for your information you're the one whining like a little b**** you need to come out of the cave and leave the dinosaurs everybody knows Center point bought out Ravin and within two years time they will probably be all made in China I guess we're all a little bit smarter than you are
@@donwilson350 CenterPoint DID NOT buy out Raven...Raven and CenterPoint were both acquired by the parent company VELOCITY OUTDOORS. You need some lessons in Business Acquisition...until then, STFU and stop acting like you know. 'Everybody knows' and 'probably' are contradictions. You can't KNOW something that's only PROBABLE you stupid ass. Until it happens, stop ASSuming!
