CPKC 253 with eight Tier 4 candy apple red GECX units October 15, 2023

Baffinland Mining is located in Canada's North and is seeking a new route south (Instead of previously north) with another Railway Company with more experience than they have with Trains. A new Contract "without" their own locomotives... which makes more sense to me. (Note your Video shows the BAFFINLAND Lettering is now Gone) The company makes money mining iron ore and gold. These eight GECX ET44AC's May Go to CPKC but I will not confirm that

Possible test units for rebuilds.

The consensus is they are heading to Relco in Albia, IA. You can see painted over was the Canadian company they were intended for. Pretty sure CPKC is not getting them.

That is just a rumor. Nothing confirmed. The Railfan community saw red engines being shipped out and automatically started claiming they’re going to CPKC.

Going to Albia, IA. No idea who they may be for. Heard they were originally for a mining company expansion that never materialized.

soo line wasn't, these aren't. these are solid colors, not "candy" ... the name comes from the candy coating on apples that is a transparent red and is a totally different look than red. i've been painting cars/bikes for 30+ years. blue has nothing to do with being candy.

"Candy apple red (occasionally known as apple-candy red) is the name code used by manufacturing companies to define a shade of red similar to the red sugar coating on candied apples. The typical method for producing a candy apple finish is to apply a metallic base-coat, followed by a translucent color coat."

Those engines are heading to Relco in Albia, Ia. They were supposed to be for a mine expansion in Canada that didn’t materialize. For some reason everyone thought they were destined for CPKC because they were red. Thanks for watching Andrei.
