What a fantastic guy , And after everything he's gone through to be a great motivator and a very great speaker..👍👍👍 thank you for everything you done .
Cpl Carpenter gets an automatic thumbs up! The elder members of my family would call him an "old sole" I wonder if he is simply the product of his life choices, either way, the man is a rare example of outstanding!
Man is Carpenter just amazing. I remember vividly of the crucible hearing medal of honor citations. Tired hungry cold sleep deprived. And youd hear these stories of guys in the same condition, then taking it to them. As we heard these it became clear the misery we felt the last few months was nothing. It is an accomplishment, but it just buys you a seat at the table. Thats when the real work starts, and at that point you know how much more work, effort and sweat equity is coming just to holdup the honor of the Marines. Gotta love this guy. "I was never that guy on campus telling war stories " 🤣 if there was ever a person that could do some without any embellishment.... Great other interview. Its like 5 hours long. But they get into Kyle's family and upbringing. A guy asked how he's kept such a great positive attitude. Theres no doubt it was a dark time for a while, as it should be. But when you hear about his family and its yeah these are definitely the kind of people that could raise a kid like this. No doubt. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S1ctMlVSbro.html
You are one very exceptional young man! You make our nation better, and I am very grateful for your service. As a mother, I know your mother must be so very proud of you. May God continue to bless you and empower you with courage and strength.
I remember as a Marine the first time I had an interaction with a MOH recipient. This will sound weird but it was like my dog does. Ask her "want to go for a ride"? Whole body locks up and swings her head to stare me down like its the greatest thing she ever heard. I did the same, and was on the verge of tears knowing what this person had done. A lot of people talk about how honored they are to meet people. Shaking kyles hand and saying its one of the greatest honors of my life to meet you isnt an exaggeration in any aspect. This kind of honor is incredible, but no doubt difficult task to continue throughout your life. He's just an unbelievable person and an inspiration. But he's also a great steward, and example of the kind of selfless and humble picture most Marines think of. Just to do something to your own peril to such an extent, then years of horror coming back to the person they were is just inspirational to the point of tears. Theres few Marines or really anyone that could experience something like this and overcome it in such an overwhelming fashion.....the awe and amazement is just beyond something i could express in words beyond that how it makes me so proud to have been a Marine. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S1ctMlVSbro.html
He has a nice soft spoken speaker. I just looked at a video of the man he tried to save. How they have to give up so much. Wonderful strong men boys soldiers warriors. I am happy for them who love them and they got home. God bless the.
these medals wont restore whats damaged, he lost his body,,,,in my country we have a saying,,war is ordered by the elders and paid by the young,, he did da war far away,,but da elders did beer and bbQ with their family at home,,then they gave him a peace of metal with a (d) instead of (t)
My husband is a marine as well, he enlisted at 17, left 6 months after high school graduation, deployed to afghanistan defusing bombs 2 months out of training, 8 months from when he enlisted, and was blown up by a roadside bomb at which he was 19 at the time. I thank God everyday he is still with me, you guys are such amazing, smart, ridiculously intelligent, funny men and women, you remind me so much of my husband. He to finally got to experience college after he was discharged and after his treatments and therapies started to slow (about 5 years later). I'm so glad he got to experience that, and know what that's like, and to finally be able to live the words people like me tell you all the time, that life will go on, everyday will end, and regardless how far you feel from things you strive for, that your story is already written, we just don't know it yet as that would take out the fun in life. You're supposed to be here, you're supposed to be loved, cherished, and just as much - forgiven for anything that weighs heavy on you. Don't forget that, thank you for your service Kyle, semper fi and God bless you.
Kyle your are a beyond super hero to serving our country!!! Once a marine always a marine!!! Praise God you are alive by grace of God! I would love to see how you doing now?? Please update yourself to let us know how you doing now??? 😍
The medal is a heavy burden, however, research about the janitor at the U.S. Air Force Academy. The point being, don’t get boxed into a medal related occupation.
