Just to let you know: this is the first RU-vid video I viewed tonight. Great footage! I've always like Canadian steam, particularly the CP, who wisely decided to put all-weather cabs on everything from Ten-wheelers on up. (I don't hold it against them that they called cabooses "vans.)
Summerland is one of many villages, towns, and a small city of 200,000, Kelowna (ke-lo-na - Indigenous People's word for "big bear") that lie in the 200 km / 120 mile long Okanagan Valley (oak-ah-nah-gun - Indigenous People's Word), a north-south valley in the interior plateau of British Columbia, which was crossed in spectacular fashion by the Kettle Valley Railway when it operated in the first half of the 20th century. The railway dropped 1000 meters / 3000 feet into the arid valley which is filled with natural lakes for most of its length and is noted for its extensive orchards and vineyards.
