What do you guys think of this explanation of CPU, GPU & ASIC mining differences? Did I miss something? What type of mining do you prefer? Please let me know in here in the comments! My hash just reached 50/50, just because Ryzen CPUs are so darn cheap right now! One annoying thing about CPUs though, is I find it a bit annoying finding new places for mother boards lol
Oh yeah that's actually a good point. I was thinking about this the other day, setting up 12x CPU mining rigs takes up so much more space than a 12 card GPU rig does. I wonder if there's a smart way to stack CPU mining rigs..?
Yes you can get motherboard and ram and 7700x for only 399USD combo that's the price of low-mid tier GPU. 2 weeks away of paying off several AMD 7700x that came online September 23. That's the entire setup minus power supply cause one psu runs 8 motherboards each only 97w and using low profile cooler you can stack like PI with 3.5in brass rod interconnects. Have a great day , Mine on...
What's you favourite low profile cooler. Unfortunately, I am budget constrained, and though sufficient, my coolers are massive. As for potential builds, I am designing a stack tower of plastic sheets with standard holes drilled for Mobos. Although Im making it so I can move the shelves for the spacing I want, I am interested in spending some cashflow to reduce the cooler clearance. Cheers!
Currently designing a tower with acrylic sheets for the mobos to attach to, that I can slide in and out. But as I said to Filthy moss, my budget coolers are massive. I could probably fit 2-3 more inthe stack I'm making by just changing coolers. Any budget low profile coolers you recommend? I've got 5900x and 7900xs
in long term GPu mining is the best one inbetween them. Asic mining is a very risky mining. you are only locked in to one algortym and if that algo goes bananas you are fcked. CPU mining is okay however scaling up is almost a task on its own. I dont see cpu mining as a serious business plan. With Asic mining you need alot alot alot of capital to be actually earning something. having one or two asics isnt going to make you money like gpu's will do. i always feel sorry people investing so much money to bitcoin asics as a "homeminer" because unless you are doing a scale like Bitsbetripping you are not going to make any money. besides all asics are loud, not fun, and they are almost like more industrial applications. mainly very bad reselling value. Soon as bull market comes gpu mining will be very profitable again. But this time you will need lots of rigs to be profitable, unlike the ethereum days. Last thing cpu mining is for people who are very in to wishfull mining. how may cpus you can fit in a server room ? or garage or a shed. believe me not alot.
If you love to tinker and don't mind paying for electric out of pocket sometimes then CPU mining is 4u. If want to easier setup and little bit of tinker and play with tech then GPU is great. If your wallet is gushing with money and get in first 3 patches of new asic and set it and forget it with earplugs not included then ASIC is for you. Just opinion. CPU is more intensive knowledge GPU little less and my cousin vinni can setup an ASIC. Have a great day everyone.
Didnt even watch yet but dont start doing ur thumbnails like the hobbyist … close ur mouth bro … every thumb nail his mouth is wide open like every video topic is super amazing like calm down … i still like u but dont do it guy …
Unfortunately it is just a hard fact that dumb faces on thumbnails work as they catch peoples attention and convey an emotion better. The goal of my channel is to spread information about mining to help grow the community as much as possible. The best way I know to do that is to get as many people as I can to watch my videos. So it's a bit of a catch 22 here.
Hi bro, I folow u. Thanks for your full of knowledge channel. I will not invest in any mining equipment. I have not yet made money from the our invested devices. I will not take any investment news into account before mining becomes profitable.
