Good to hear. They may have fixed some of the firmware issues for the newer one's coming out. I wounder how much of the older stock is still out there.
Your initial issue with vase mode was well documented and widely experienced with the CR-6 community and was due to the power loss recovery function. It was constantly writing to the SD card recovery information which causes hesitations with vase mode. Adding "M413 S0" to your gcode would disable power loss recovery and fix vase mode.
Good to know. The firmware update fixed the issue, and they ended up releasing it at a later date. Removing the power loss recovery isn't really something that should be needed to get this machine functioning properly, however. I would have preferred that this issue was fixed prior to its release.
Nice review. I just bought one of these and have had none of these problems. It worked great right out of the box even with PETG. Only strange thing is that the SD card must be plugged in for the machine to power up.
Good to know about the SD card. For a lot of users, it's been hit-and-miss. Some users have mentioned that their problems began after a couple of weeks of use, but I'm hoping that they addressed most of these with a firmware update. It's a great machine once it's running properly, and I now use mine on a regular basis for my projects. I do recommend you check the playlist if you run into issues, since I've already gone through most of the fixes.

Thank you for the thorough review. I've sent it to a friend who is looking for a printer and I told him, based on the facts of the review, to avoid the CR-10 Smart. He will be starting out and he will need something that is reliable and usable out of the box. Do you feel you will be reviewing the "CREALITY Ender 3 S1" soon?
I actually just got the Ender 3 V2 and that machine is a workhorse so far. Since I have to buy most of my machines, it'll probably be awhile since they aren't shipping to my Country yet. Also.... Creality doesn't like my reviews, so they don't ship me review samples, LOL.

I found this machine worse than a first date! I need a drink after trying to level the bed. There was so much plastic left behind on the bed when I got up in the morning. Creality has let me down.
@@Yarkspiri I traded that one in for this one. I divorced it after a weekend of similar issues. Creality needs to improve. the experience of ownership.
@@johnmainville6512 Absolutely. They also need to address the quality control issues in general. It really is a luck of the draw when you get some of these machines.
This thing is expensive, it was our first printer and now I feel like I don’t even want a 3D Printer at all. Havent even been able to print a small thing this is a crappy printer.
It isn't the most user-friendly machine, especially for someone starting off. If you can't return it, I'd recommend looking at my playlist, since I go through the issues 1 by one and tell you how to fix it. I have some support files on my website that might make things easier to set up. What are the issues you've run into so far?
I am printing a lot of things on this printer and it's doing great. It just need proper first adjustment and do not use default settings for slicing. Even diferent color PLA of the same brand are not the same. Thest print it, adjust it, then print it.

Also, this mod works best after having added adjustment knobs, like I covered in another video.
I hate this printer! I would have never bought that thing! so much money thrown out the window this is one of the worst printers currently on the market! Creality should be ashamed!
This machine has a lot of problems........ and it could have been great if they'd taken their time with it. Still beat the Iron-M1 by Simax which was a straight-up fire hazard.
