I swear I hate how people go out their way to foster kids just to abuse them. Hateeee it !!
@Vanasse1

They just want the money and then very little of it actually goes to the child or children. It’s amazing how little oversight the foster care system does on these kids once they’re placed in a home.

Not sure if this is the case everywhere, but in my state you get like $1200/mo per kid. I knew a lady who would have 6-8 foster kids at a time. All the boys had one room, and the girls another. They occupied the basement of her house, had their own kitchen and bathroom down there and everything. She'd only buy them used clothing and didn't take great care of them overall. Meanwhile, her two biological children had brand new cars the day they turned 16, they had stuff like tanning beds and diamond jewelry and the newest phones. They were popular because they were rich. But then I realized they weren't rich because my sister made friends with one of the foster kids. Their mom was exploiting like 8 kids for a total of like 9k a month without having to work. And she spent as little of that on those 8 children whose lives had already been too hard for them as she could. My sister went over there exactly one time and was locked in the basement all weekend and said her friend said it wasn't safe to leave the girl's bedroom because sometimes the boys would sexually abuse them with no consequences. Understandably, my sister was not allowed to go back. And, learning this, I called DCS on this lady. My mom also might have. But they did nothing. The kids stayed there and continued to be abused in multiple ways. I have no idea what happened to them because they were all younger than me, but I hope those kids ended up ok. Oh, also. This lady named her two bio kids Sterling and Silver, if that tells you anything about the white trash wannabe rich person the mother was. Two of the ugliest humans (both inside and out) that I had the misfortune of going to school with.

Creola you are one of the most sweetest and giving people I’ve ever met when I worked with you at PAT. You didn’t know this at the time, but you always gave me a soothing and motherly feel whenever I came over there to work with the program, And God knows i needed that after losing my Mom 1 year prior. You inspired so many girls there and i was sad when you left after your bf “passed”. I hope he steps on a rusty nail and loses a toe for the way he chose to break up with you. With him knowing all that you’ve been through, I’m sorry that you had to experience that while you were already healing and getting your life on track. I’ve seen what you can do, and how much of an impact you were to a lot of girls struggling. You are loved and valued and I know you got this💜

What gets me with this lady is, she's not stupid - behind the tiredness and weariness, there is wisdom in her eyes - there is still an element of joy in her heart that could come out - if encouraged. What do I know! I just get from her demeanour and voice, she's beautiful, out of all the videos I watch on this (amazingly educational and important) channel, this lady I truly hope gets to give the world her love and compassion - both of which she seems to have in abundance. Much love xx

I adopted my daughter, as a single parent, in 1991, just after her 2nd birthday. I remember people telling me that God was going to bless me for doing that, but instead, the bottom literally dropped out from under me. A little less than a year after the placement, I was laid off. Ended up going back to the same social services agency where the final placement paperwork had been completed to apply for food stamps. Finally got back on my feet, then 7 years later was laid off again. A LOT of setbacks over the years, but we survived as a little family. Despite my daughter being severely drug exposed, she graduated from high school, then got a 4 year college degree, then went on to get her masters degree. Over the years, (she's 35 now) I've wondered what my daughter's life would have been like if she had never been adopted: which was a valid question to ask because the year I adopted her, in just that one county there were just short of 1,000 children waiting to be adopted and only 64 were placed. I wondered that because I wasn't the "typical" adoptive parent, with fairly deep pockets and a seemingly unlimited supply of resources. I just had an average income and no real safety net like so many people have. Watching Creola's episode gave me some insight as to what might have been my daughter's fate. Just the juxtaposition of that lovely blue dress she was wearing and hearing her story just touched my heart. She, like every child, deserved and deserves so much more. I pray that Creola is doing better now.

@loveblue2 Thank you for being such an amazing person for your daughter-for pushing through the difficult times for her. She had the chance to achieve what she has because of your tenacity and determination and hers to achieve what she's achieved, you must be so proud of her! It's so sad that most of those children, like you mentioned, don't get the opportunity to be adopted by a selfless person who wants only the best life possible for their adopted child.

@martinmummert5614
@martinmummert5614 5 дней назад
@heatherhamilton...Yes, there're some good foster care stories. But it works best when the foster parents get the children when they're babies. My best friend is a loving foster mom. Her child, who was born to heroin-addicted parents, is thriving wonderfully. I knew another couple, though, that fostered two pre-teens that had been in the system for years. They'd been horribly abused, and weren't able to adapt to a normal, loving family life. The first seven or so years of a child's life are extremely formative and important.

My heart aches for her… I’m not a therapist, but it seems like she has slipped through the cracks her whole life. She’s not sitting there casting blame on others and looking for sympathy for her misfortunes. She chalks it all up to her bad choices, even with the hardships she went through as a child. I find that quite admirable in a way. I wish her luck on getting clean and staying clean! You can honestly see the fatigue on her face! She didn’t even have to say she was done with Skid Row and the type of lifestyle she has to live

She is Gods chosen! She is an angel who is past by without a glance or judged ignorantly by another who hasn’t been chosen to fill her shoes. The very fact she doesn’t pass blame is of the most righteous gifts! JUDGE NOT for YOU WILL BE JUDGED! anyone who cries that they are victims will surely be a victim. Others accept what they are given and do the best without condemnation because they never judged. Innocent heart from the beginning living the life handed to them without contempt. A saint.

@@naelyneurkopfen9741 And someone in your family just looked at a crack.. take care of your own house before thinking you have authority of another’s! Imagine if he interviewed “ self righteous “ thugs, perverts, addicted, clean LIARS! he’d have to change the name to “ superficial, plastic surgery, holy roller, no identity because the options are endless to choose from “ hardened scraped undergrowth. No views, people still watching cable and news.

She's not succeeding in any programs because she's not doing it for herself. So sad that she wanted to make it work with some dude that obviously is into a different lifestyle and only going to hurt her. Poor thing

Mark, it’s actually the….”shit happens,” for me. This was as honest as she could be. She has spent her life dealing with shit, and tried to live with it. How exactly do we expect these children to turn out? Please go see Sound of Hope. It’s the possum trot true story. My daughter and I went to an early screening! FABULOUS is all I can say🥰😊🥰

She kind of reminds me of Rita. Soft spoken, raspy voice. Maybe Rita can mentor her :). I hope she gets the help she needs. And I hope she stays reunited with her children- however that looks.

I hope she goes to live with her family and makes a drastic change. I think its possible that she could have a better life with her children and family. Hopefully all of her children will be able to forgive her and help her get on a more positive stable path. The guy who lied about being deceased probally did her a favor. He could have gotten her caught up in some bs you never know. I wish her the best and hope she has a blessed and happy life
