We visited Crack Canyon on a hike with our friends. Crack Canyon is a beautiful hike located 4 ½ miles down the Behind the Reef Road in the San Rafael Swell. It is a rough road but if you are careful a two wheel drive vehicle with high clearance can make it. We drove another half mile after reaching the trailhead. You can just start the trailhead if you aren’t comfortable with the rocky drive in deeper.
The hike is easy to moderate. The tafone sculpture in the canyon is fantastic.
