Ah the good ole days. Letterman was still back at NBC at his funniest and musical gems like this from a budding new music scene were all over the radio.
Nice intro....! (I was born in Redlands hospital in Glasgow)...but also......after a craniotomy....I've got an 'un-scheduled' hole in my head....lol....
Check out the Pete Droge performance on Letterman, of an equally fine three-chord rock song, "If You Don't Love Me, I'll Kill Myself." They were definitely enjoying that one.
They were for a while and had a studio there. But originally from Cali. David Lowery is in Athens Ga now, Johnny Hickman is in Colorado. But they still tour. Their newest incarnation is a six piece band with keyboard and pedal steel. They never sounded better! Seen them 4-5 times in 20 years and their live shows are always great!
They don't write songs like THAT anymore... The perfect post modern commentary for an intellectually lobotomized population thru social media. It's amazing what 30 years can do.
