We just got our FIRST test footage of the sizzle reel from Tiger Animation! We are so hyped.
As a reminder, this is for our sizzle reel project, a short trailer which will be released this summer regardless of how the Kickstarter ends up.

As an animator and huge fan of the series, I've always thought cradle was perfectly suited for 2D animation... Imagine my surprise when it ACTUALLY WAS getting animated!! Keep doing great things Will and team :)

This looks so good, Jay and his team are on point. I'm so excited to see the Kickstarter entering the homestretch. I haven't followed a project so closely in my life, it might be unhealthy lol. I also wanted to say thanks for making this whole thing possible and creating Cradle in the first place. You are the man!

Out of curiosity, why wasn’t the Kickstarter held in the summer *after* the sizzle reel released? Do you think having actual animated stuff to see could have generated more fervor and excitement in fans which might have led to a quicker completion of the Kickstarter?

Because Will’s writing schedule is locked in for the year AND it’s significantly cheaper to keep the animators animating, like ordering in bulk. So we can add the Kickstarter project to the sizzle reel which means more bang for the buck!

As much as I am happy to see this footage I am not sure the kick starter will succeed. I think the kick starter needed to be longer as I am not sure it will make it or this done with the release of a book so all people who only read the books would hear.
