Nice! From the Cradle to Enslave and Midian were my introductions, but Nymphetamine was the first new release I experienced with them so it holds a special place to me as well. I did an interview with Martin Powell about that album as well, awesome dude!
It was the first I think I ever did so Im not sure if it's any good, but yeah very interesting and fun to talk to him :) He send me demo files of some of the songs so that was cool!
My first COF song was Black Metal (Venom Cover) And I love the Thornography album But my favourite album is Midian and favourite song: Her ghost in the fog

I got to know them back in the year 2000, almost the same time i found Dimmu Borgir, i think the very first song I've heard was dusk and her embrace but it took me time to get accustomed to Dani's voice. I really think that COF was the best band in the 90's, ALL the stuff they made in that decade was pure gold, even the EPs like V Empire and of course From The Cradle To Enslave, but they took a nosedive ( at least for me) after Damnation, but they still release very decent singles from time to time.
One of those rare occasions where I fully agree with the rankings. Cruelty and Dusk can flip flop for the number 1 spot depending on the mood, but those 2 without question are the top 2 with Midian following behind as the more entry level accessibility compared to the other 2
but considered an EP by the band so I decided to stick to the official description and not include it . Anyway an amazing amazing piece of work , trust me I really wanted to talk about it😂 if I had included it , it would have ended in my top 3 . easily🤘
Midian would be my number one because it's perfect as a whole and it really gave me kind of psychedelic body experiences. Regarding the others I think each Album has its period. From the Cradle to Enslave also Masterpiece of a song.
yeah and midian has such an amazing production too. it's one of the best sounds I ever heard on a record. yeah from the cradle to enslave is a very good song . The ep on the whole however... i could take it or leave it

For me too the worst album would definitely be Manticore. But Cryptoriana and Existence would be among the worst for sure. All of the albums have something good but ain't strong ones. Damnation has a great concept but is too repetitive and simple so because of that would come next. Thornography would probably make as high as somewhere around 5th place.

@blackwater_paolo that's what's great with opinions coupled with varied releases, there is something for everyone. And you know what, it changes quite a bit for me depending on mood, season, weather, time of day, activity I'm doing, and whether or not I just need to mix it up
@@user-if4is5fq2w very true music is most of the times related to the mood you're into so I totally agree with that point .Speaking for myself I might be in a mood for something more catchy and that's when I would go for something like nymphetamine rather than dusk which I consider a superior album but definitely less catchy. So yeah I'm totally on board with your consideration
For years I really disliked Thornography, finding the songs had a more commercial feel to them, but over the last few months I've been revisiting it over and over.
I like Thornography, my first real introduction to the band, although I do recognize it's kinda weak in the course of the discography. I still enjoy it.
