These are so cute. Thanks for sharing this with us. I am in the process of making some for craft fairs coming up this Fall. Just a helpful tip for crafters on here. When you laminate your covers and if you cut them too close as to break the seal on the edge, use a pointy tip of a heating wand to reseal it close to the papers edge. I cut mine too close and I have a Becky Higgins heat wand for making pockets out of vinyl and I used the pointy tip to seal it back up. It worked perfectly. You can use any heat wand. A wood burning wand or one for heat setting rhinestones just use a tip that can run smoothly along the edge. You can also do this after you laminate the cover then run the wand around the edge close to the paper then trim it as close a you'd like. I hope this helps someone. :)

12.00 is very fair! I'd be interested in seeing a larger size, although I'm sure the process is much the same, but having the dimensions listed like you did is AMAZING! It really helps for those of us cognitively impaired. Thanks for the wonderful video.

Just one point...as I am covering the mini composition books I find that they do have a top margin on the pages...make sure not to get your cover paper upside down if you have a directional print. Also...make sure both sides are facing up. I couldn't remember if you mentioned it or not. Just something I noticed. Once again, thank you so much for sharing your idea.

These are wonderful. I'm very new to paper crafting. I've been watching a couple other crafters for a few months, and I'm learning so much. I'm kind of marathon watching your videos currently. I'm still building up my tools and supplies. I have some more tools to purchase before I could do these. I'll never sell the items I make, but, I will be gifting. I think these would make amazing Christmas gifts for my extended family, and ladies at the church, work, senior center, vetersns groups, etc... So I'm going to put a little focus on getting the tools I'll need for these. Thank you so much for sharing. 😀💗

Thank you for this tutorial. i laminated the insert and cut the pockets. The only thing i was needing was the elastic. This was a neat idea cutting the cover for the little books front and back yeah i would cut separate pieces the only thing is these tiny books aren't even but all in all i love it just have to get that elastic. Amber, I just wanted to give you and your viewers another idea. I got some plastic 3-ring notebooks at Dollar Tree and used them for TNs after viewing a video from KSP by Luisa. I got 2 pocket size and 2 Micros from one notebook and they don't need laminating. Thought that might be a good tip for anyone who doesn't have a laminator.

If not, search for the channel KSP by Luisa and the video is Tutorial: Pocket TN Using a Dollar Tree folder. She used the plastic folders, I used the regular size 3 ring VINYL notebooks. They are flexible, not rigid, and they come in solid colors and various prints. I found a print with roses on a mint green background and a dark pink with white daisies. They have some other prints that are more what I think teenagers would like. I got one of those to see how they sell. Hope this helps :)

I love the way that you explain how to make these books. Never attempted to make them because they seem so difficult but you explained it so beautifully and I love the way you showed everything step by step. However having said that I wish I could be at your craft fair cuz I would still buy one of your small TN books the one with the little Flamingo I think it's so adorable! People don't make things like that at the craft fair here but then again we live on an island in Friday Harbor Washington. But I would definitely shop your booth! Love your micro TN. You inspired me to make them. I decided to pull cover off composition notebooks and made a laminated cover for them. Worked great makes TN reusable. Made cover @ 7"x 4-1/2'" scored @ 3-3/8" and 3-5/8" then laminated cover. Thanks for the great tutorial.

Just to reiterate what you mentioned... I learned the hard way by not noticing this detail: It's very important that the mini composition notebooks have a sewn binding. If they're only glued they will fall apart quickly. I just make sure now to look for the sewn binding ones. They're very easy to find at Dollar Tree and elsewhere. But the glued ones are lurking around too, so I won't make that mistake again!

You could also cut a little more of the inside part of the notebook cover and create a pocket so the inside covers both can have pockets for things.
