Hi Nice Video! I have never heard of a potato bag - I will have to look these up? Very cute though! I help a friend at a 3-day craft show - heavy traffic. One of the things she sells is bowl cozies. She brings about 1,300 - I was shocked. She sells for $5. I first thought it was too cheap, but I realized people bought so many more when they were buying 2 for $10, 3 for $15, 4 for $20 etc. They felt they were getting a better deal! :) Good luck!
Deanna, You make everything look so easy! Thanks for sharing this great project. I went to a craft sale here in Wisconsin about 2-3 years ago and paid $8.00 for mine and it's almost exactly like the one you made. It's held up well after numerous washings so it was a good investment! Thanks again.......love your Crafty Crafts!
Hi Deanna, I just wanted to thank you for making all the wonderful and very through tutorials! I have made many many things from them. I did add one thing to the bags. I put a looped piece of rick rack in one corner to hang it up. Again THANKS !!!!!
P.S. I made 14 sets (of 2) bowl cozys last Christmas for my family and I am still getting wonderful feed back from ALL of them! My biggest hit in years! Thanks to you!!! Blessings coming your way!
Saw this project mentioned on the bag of batting I bought. I'm making bowl cozies for family. Everything has to be 100% cotton including the sewing thread for these projects. People tend to forget that polyester melts or burns. Nicely done :)
Thank you for the video. My friend asked me last night if I knew how to make them & there was your video!!! So easy & cool she’s so excited. Many thanks...

Love this project. I have three of the table top boards I have made. I have had so many ironing boards that have just fell down while I was ironing so I followed a lady about two years ago and made three different sizes. I love love love mine. They are really convenient. I have the iron also I got it at Walmart too. . It is so much cheaper at walmart. I do love mine as well. $9 is a good price because I see on Etsy the small one runs $8. The one for the large one runs $9 to $11. So you nailed it. 😊
I actually paid $12.00 for mine at a craft fair and after using it and the longevity of it and seeing how long it’s lasted me (6 years) I would’ve paid $25.00. We have cooked many potatoes and corn cobs in it over the years .
Thanks, Deanna. I too was thinking about adding these to my booth at fall craft shows. I think $8 is a good price for my area (Pennsylvania). Thanks again!
love this idea, i thought it would be great to do Epsom salt pouches similar to those. i think i am going to try it. I think it would be a great idea for a graft fair :)
Would you mind including the language on the card you attached? They don’t always have those notebooks at our nearest Dollar Tree either but on my last trip they did. I got one in every color but after watching one of your most recent videos I know I’ll need more. My daughter signed us up for a craft show in October, our first one ever. Yikes! I better get cracking! As always thank you so much for your generosity.
Hi Deanna, I made these last year for the 1st time and sold out but i had only made 20 because i wasn't sure how they would go...this year i'm making 60. :-)
These are so cute, I've made two of them and they came out perfectly, thanks for the tutorial!! BTW, I have the same cutting mat, but mine is warped somehow, not even sure how it happened. Any pointers on how to make it flat again, or is it impossible to make if flat again lol?
I have a tater bag too. Just can't remember what I paid for it. I'm thinking the 8.00 is a pretty good price. We experimented with the cooking time. For 2 medium size "taters", we cooked them for 4 min. Turned the bag over, and cooked them for an additional 3 min. They come out perfect every time. The paper towel they get wrapped in, is kinda damp, from washing them. Which I think helps....I have never tried to make one, but I may do so now! Your tutorials are the BEST!! TFS!! 🌷~Suzy~
I'm curious why so many of your prices require $1 in change? I sell baby blankets and burp cloth sets and receiving blankets, but my prices are $5, $10, and $20 to make change/charges easy
7.00, 8.00 etc You give change back so you talk to the customer more, they are at your booth longer. Someone you interact with longer will remember you more.
Unfortunately I fall into the group that I was never taught how to sew . I would so desperately love to learn. I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis in my hands and I’ve had it since the age of 4 so I’m not sure that I could even do it but I’d love to try. I’m only 41. Is there anyway I could use heat n bond with this project ?
Very cute... great tutorial. However I have seen these sold at MANY craft fairs. I have never seen these sell more than $5.00...sorry. I know your supplies and time are more than worth it. This has been my experience. At one show they were $4.00...❤
