I’ve been to a many classes on book/journal making etc & I’ve always had to take a friend to help me understand classes as they were always so complicated with measurements etc to covering books in paper etc Being dyslexic your the first person to make it soo uncomplicated & easy to cover a book I can’t wait till late morning to try your techniques:-) thanks so much for this video you’ve made my week ! All the best from Claire watching your video @ 3:30 am Scotland :-) I’ve subscribed you your channel for sure x ps it’s great that you say prices to charge etc it really helps also good luck on results from C-19 test x
Love your projects. I'm a multi-crafter, but mostly a sewist. But having watched all your videos all day, I think I'm going to have to switch do some of your fun projects. At $3, you'll sell a ton. But I think you should sell min. $4 or $5, especially if they have lots of pages. Great job. ..... your fan, Kathleen
So cute Deanna, and I love that you showed how to measure for those book that may not be the same size as what you have. I read some of the comments below, and I have to say that I agree that $3 is underpriced. I think $5 might be iffy, so I think $4 is perfect in mho. But everybody's area is different and you might know your audience. I am going to look at Dollar Tree to see what they might have that would work.
Yes sweetheart I sure did watch to the very end I love you I love this idea and I am so happy that y'alls craft fair is on ours has not been notified or anything yet where going to have it or not so keeping my fingers crossed hugs love and kisses darling God bless you always have a beautiful blessed week!!!💋🙇♀️💋
Im still here!! Love the way you decorate the pen! This is a cute low dollar item! Im doing a craft sale in the middle of October Im getting ready for too. Im making tea favors at the moment.
I, too, have bought notebooks like this from Tuesday Morning, Hobby Lobby and other low cost stores with plans to do something with them. Now I know what to do. May I make a suggestion though? Please move your camera more to the right to capture everything you're doing or move your project to the left for the same reason. Thank you for a wonderful idea.
A very cute project! The matching ink pen adds the perfect touch. I think though you should charge $5.00. I think that’s a very fair price. I’m going to look at our Hobby Lobby and see if they have any of those books. Thanks for showing us
Hi Deanna such an awesome idea I have some notebooks like that I will be making some do you know what size is the tall pocket s and where I can order it from? So Far we haven’t heard if any crafts in California yet. Tfs my sweet friend have a wonderful day and God Bless you!💕
I love this project. I have notebooks that size from Michael's clearance! I was wondering what to do with them. Now I have a great project idea! Thank you!
I have been having the same problem with the grips moving on my punch as well. I am going to try a little glue on the handle than puch it up and see if it holds. Or maybe double stick tape.
@@CraftyCraftsByDeanna Looked today at a couple of places for similar style notepads. I thought that would be easy to find. So far I have had no luck. Going to look at a few more places tomorrow and pick up some of the pens. Thanks again for the cute idea!
I'll have to look at the full video when I get home from work. But I'm not getting email notifications, neither are my subscribers. Is there something else I need to do to get emails? I do get the on comments and responses and I have selected the All notifications request🤷♀️
Ps you should fold some cooking tin foil in half & use that to sharpen your corner cutter blades by cutting the foil a few times it will make a difference when cutting thick papers & card etc & you should initially try selling your books at $4:99 at start of sale if they don’t sell quickly you could always lower the price. Yes people like a bargain but being from a family of business owners I’ve learnt that people will always pay more as they think it’s a better item at the higher price also people think they’re getting a bargain if you price your goods at say $3:99 or $4:99 basically always pricing at the something....... 99 cent people always think they’re getting a bargain by saving that 1 cent it makes them happier than paying the $3 or $4 dollars. Also if you decided you wanted $3 for your book you could advertise your books at $4:99 or buy x 2 get third book free that would be $4:99 x by 3 = $14:97 then divide the $14:97 by 3 =$4:99 then times the $4:99 by 2 = £9:98 then divide the £9:98 by 3 that gives you $3.32 profit on each book so you would still be making the $3 dollars you want & 20 cents extra on each book but you would sell more books as people love a bargain so they would buy more. (That’s what we do here) also you could advertise that they make great gifts for loved ones daughters, mothers to help with their Xmas lists etc The most important thing never under value your work even the budget items you make x Also we have some chalkboard card & small chalkboard wood arrows to write prices on etc people prefer to see written prices than to ask you for a price. Having the erasable boards helps to be able to change prices as the market slows to an end
