Deanna, I don't comment much, but would love to take this opportunity to let you know how thankful I am for you and all you do and share with us. You are such a blessing. Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving! God Bless you.
I have the larger reader for my craft shows. It works much better than the small one. Dont worry aboutthebattery running down. I have only charged mine a few times. The battery holds the charge for quite a while. My next sale is Dec 2 and 3. I'm also in North Texas (Wichita Falls). Good luckwith your sale!
The square company now has a tap option on my phone. Nothing extra to keep up with. It’s always on my phone as an app so I can sale anywhere. It’s an option with square app. I also have an account with square. They hold my money in an account and I have a personal business debit card for that account. This is the second year I’ve had this whole option. I love it!!
Hope you have a wonderful THANKSGIVING Deanna! We did! I bought the Square generation 2 for my fair. All people who used credit cards paid on my phone, not the reader. It was so easy! It should give you that option when it times to pay, but of course you still need the reader because it’s linked to your phone. Wishing you very good luck at your fair. You always do well, so I know you will again! Hugs ❤️🦋❤️🦋
Thank you for this video...very helpful, and easy to follow your informative dialog. You've just helped me with a major decision. I love watching all your videos, whatever the subject. My favorite ones are those dealing with craft fairs, be they about crafted items or the business end of things. I'm so thankful for folkes like you who share for the love or sharing! Love you my friend and fellow crafter, and wish you the best, always.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Thank you for your videos. They have really helped me with my craft fairs, especially the ones about displays, what to accept for payment, how you package your items.
I told my husband I need to get one of these, he said I don't need it people will pay cash but I think I missed out on a couple of sales because I didn't except cards. So I think maybe now I'll be able to get the square. Thanks for sharing and you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving.
That is a cool gadget! I love how organized you are. I’m wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you get a chance to rest up a little before your craft fair.
I finally got Square and I'm excited to use it tomorrow. I hope I finally get some sales on my bigger items. I'm thinking over the winter I'll get the tap reader.
I have the square reader that you swipe cards in. It sorta works. I bought the one that attaches to your phone that you're supposed to be able to swipe or read the chip and I have never been able to make it work well. Mostly it won't stay charged up. I may have to go to the dock reader. I had been thinking about it and I'm glad you mentioned it was fairly inexpensive.
Awesome video! I was on the fence about up grading my reader.. my last fair I used Venmo .. I don’t understand the Paypal and how to take it. Please make a video on that! Happy Thanksgiving!
Olivia says hi we have been very busy over the last few months we just moved to a bigger house and Olivia now has her own room ❤my craft room is half the living room but it works
Hi Deanna! If I'm only planning to do like 2 craft shows a year and I'm doing it as a hobby (don't have a business license), would I still charge the sales tax? Thank you!
Hi Deanna. This was very helpful as I’m seriously considering going to the craft fair next year as a vendor. When is your craft fair? Have a blessed happy thanksgiving.
So does the money go straight to your bank after they pay with a credit card and do you have to pay fees are anything for the convenience. I’m a total newbie and my wife wants to do a snow cone trailer and I have no clue what the process is for taking money on a debit card or credit card . Please help thanks for your video it’s great
I just bought the 2nd generation reader and it didn't work for me. I wasn't able to get a strong internet connection at the particular location I was at. Fortunately I didn't lose the sales. I suggest you do a test run and have your backup plan. This was my first time using this type of device.
I'm curious why you only take Venmo from people you know. We closed PayPal after a fraudulent charge they wouldn't cover. But I haven't had problems with Venmo. Just wondering.
