Such a beautiful space Christine, I wouldn’t want to leave if I had a studio like that…sure makes for the work to be a bit easier so well laid out for you. Thanks for sharing 🤗♥️
Well well. I have created a craft room with 2 looms, and a small rigid loom like yours. A Cheticamp rug hooking frame, sewing machine and parts for all the bigger items, 2 spinning wheels. I am in heaven when I am working on my projects. Your craft shop is beautiful! I thought I had too much BUT after seeing all you have I no longer feel that way. Happy crafting! 😊
Thank you. I probably shouldn’t mention that I have another building down south then. 😆 It’s nearly empty though other than a few looms and antique wheels.
What a wonderful space! I love all of the vintage and antique pieces you have collected. Great that you have a tea/coffee station too. I need to watch this again in case I missed anything!
Wow, talk about a silk purse/sow’s ear transformation! I would never leave. I’ve been wanting to tell you that you inspired me to give up sugar. I’ve lost nine pounds and feel so much better. So thank you!
Gorgeous studio Christine, your happy place I’m sure ! You are so talented, thank you for sharing ! Happy Stitching and Sewing and all the things ! 🧵✂️🪡❌ Happy New Year
Christine, The tour of your sewing room was fabulous! Not only am I jealous of your space, but I love the way you have organized the materials for so many different crafts. You are into many more crafts than I am, but I still have trouble being organized. You inspire me. I really need a professional organizer. I think I am blessed with a nice space, but I don't know how to best organize it. BTW, the table cloth on your folding table reminds me of something my grandmother had. Happy stitching. Best, K
Thank you so much for this video! It was so inspiring!! It had me dreaming of having a space like this for myself one day! I think your idea of hanging the empty frames is genius!!
Wow, what an amazing creative craft rooms 🤩! You and your husband have put a lot of thought in use of space, organizing and display of your beautiful antiques. Thank for all that you give to our floss tube world 🥰 you are such an inspiration!!
This is beautiful! A wonderful place to be so creative in! It is very apparent that you thought long and hard on how to organize it all. Thank you so much for sharing this space with us.
Beautiful & cozy Studio. Thanks for sharing your progress. All the hard work is paying off. Enjoy! Happy spinning, stitching, quilting and all the creative adventures. ❤️🪡🧵☃️❄️
An absolutely gorgeous space. Perfect for all of your crafts and wonderful to have everything together so you can easily find what you need. Enjoy making those messes.
Wow. You have a beautiful place. When do you sleep? Your husband is very talented. The sewing desk is amazing. Thank you for the tour. Would love to come and hang out with you sometime.
Christine it looks fantastic I have a disaster in my sewing /craft room it got flooded on the weekend and is full of mud luckily no damage to the machine it stopped about three inches from them and the majority of my fabric is in plastic boxes thank heavens but I may have to take everything out to have the floors redone we don’t know at this stage still trying to dry the mud and clean the floors. Lots of magazines will be going that is for sure and the slow clearing I was doing is going to have to be a lot quicker. Oh well good reason to redo the room look forward to that want a new table anyway. Had got two that my husband thought were the same size as the table tennis table I had been using for years ,wrong too low and too small he said he would make me a new one.well he doesn’t have a choice now.hopefully by the end of the year it will be a lot more usable. Unfortunately my wheels and wool and fleece won’t fit in there as well. But the paints and desk should.
What an incredible space! I do wool applique, prim dolls (sometimes), punch needle, and cross stitch. I also want to get back into doing a little bit of rug hooking. I'm curious how you manage doing all of the different fiber arts. Do you rotate which craft you do each week? I am so addicted to cross stitch, that I have a hard time putting it down to work on anything else. Do you have a schedule, or just go with what you feel any particular day?
I pretty much just go with what I feel I need to get done. Although I do mix things up to prevent repetitive stress on my body. I have RA so I have to be careful. For instance, I spent too much time cross stitching yesterday so today my neck hurts. No more marathon sessions for me.
I meant earlier to comment that my go-to sewing machine is a Singer 201 in an art deco cabinet. I was glad to see you refer to yours. I don’t even have a computerized machine. My newest machine is a 1972 lotus. Would you consider a video of your vintage sewing machine, children’s sewing machines and irons?
Fabulous space! I love it all. I recently was gifted with the same “Let Me Live in a House…..” sampler. I thought it is vintage, but do you have any info about it?
@@mountaincraftsstudio I am, but like you I've not done much for several years. I actually gave away my darkroom equipment to one of my friend's grandsons.
What a fabulous space. I have not kept up with everything, so I have a question. Did you sell the old church building that you were using as a studio? I know you had mentioned that you and your husband were considering that. And then, you moved from that to this? Is this on the same property as your house? I bet you want to be in that space all of the time. I know I would live in my studio if I could. Thank you so much for sharing.
Actually we still have the old church. It is down south with our log cabin in Alabama. This building is behind our farmhouse here in Indiana. Our original plan was to build on to the cabin and move there, but then the pandemic happened and the cost of building skyrocketed so we changed our plans. Now we hope to just spend a good portion of the winter there where it is warmer.
