I really like your creativity in using items for different functions other than for which they were originally intended, such as the hooks for coffee mugs that now hold your metal pails filled with markers/pens and the clear boot storage cases that hold the shirts. You mentioned that it is a small space but you have organized it into a very useful work area that is also aesthetically pleasing.
My husband actually joked when we bought our house that our master closet was big enough for a craft room, not🤣, but it is big enough to consider it for a craft room. I am curious where do you store your clothes? I think it is sad that in today’s world we can buy a home and not be able to do what we want on our land. I absolutely hate HOA’s, it is getting hard to find property that isn’t part of one of these Karen controlled neighborhood’s. I am glad you where able to make a craft space for yourself.
I stopped hanging a lot of them, put any non hanging in drawers, got a small hanging wardrobe for the main bedroom and use that for now. I also got rid of a lot I hadn't worn in a while. It's not perfect, but for now it works! :) Thanks for watching!
I absolutely love your cozy craft space. You did so much to really make use of every corner! I sent several links to my daughter and saved a few myself bc we both craft. I have a question:. I have a Brother and a Silhouette, never had a Cricut. 💕 What's your reason behind keeping both and specifically using the one that's on your desk rather than only using the Maker? Can't it do everything the other can, plus more? I am just doing research and wondered. 😎
Thank you so much! I love it. I keep both because then I don't have to swap the blades or move the star things over every time. The maker I am usually doing thicker pieces that require the stars to be moved. I use my air for all my vinyl and if I do any paper stuff. Just easier for me. :) The stars are a pain to move back and forth. :)
This is so funny that you posted this yesterday! (Just now seeing it) I literally told my husband yesterday that I should make our master closet my craft room.😅 We are expecting our second child in 25 days and our home feels like it’s shrinking because of all the baby things. My large office is now a nursery. How big is your closet space? Foot x foot?
I have been meaning to post it for a while but I was trying so hard to find the videos of my tearing it down and having to patch the walls and all that. My master is about 8'8" x 7.5". But one wall of 8.8 is probably about 3 feet or so shorter due to the toilet room cutting into it.
Unfortunately no. The door to the craft space has no walls on either side. Just connecting entrances to the toilet on one side and the smaller closet on the other.
Our home is a new build in a new community. We were told we could have one, but the HOA is controlled currently by the property owners of the unsold lots and they changed the rules. In about a year the owners will take over and we can change the rules then. Not ideal, but there is still a possibility to get one later. We knew we had to follow HOA rules when we purchased, but we love our house and neighborhood.
