I have faith you'll get the perfect crafting room! For years I was working with a small, ill-lit and poorly designed kitchen. I made the best of it, re-arranging things, adding extra storage, etc. until eventually God just scooped us right out of that place to where we are now. I have plenty of light, lots of storage, and fun little nooks and crannies for things. It is far better than I could have hoped for so I believe the same will happen with you and your crafting room. God knows the desires of our hearts and in His time He will fulfill them. 💜💙

Another thought was you could use 2 file cabinets with the files facing work side and a long wood top to use as your craft desk space. 2 for I. Or back to back file cabinets if you want a wider desk
Have you thought of flipping your work space. Using the fireplace as a work backdrop. I would turn your carpet to fill the whole craft area. And keep the dresser. I think that would give you more vertical space for shelving etc. And a nice work display on the mantle for family photos etc. It just might give you more room. Depending on where you’re desk ends up. You could divide the room with short shelves. But great job. Those were just my thoughts. Happy Crafting
