Angie , I Love love your videos!!! Love your craft room, I have Book shelves all Oak other than the shelf my Brother and Daughter made for me, my table is my Mommas old Table and an old antique ranch table . But it works for me and my friend or Sister.

You did a great job in designing your craft room! I see why you might hesitate to cut into your beautiful floor for a center outlet, but if you can have it done, you'll love it. Yes, it will morph! I spent a year buying furniture and tools for our sewing studio, yet it has morphed several times, while my husband settled into his 4th embroidery machine and finally spread out into a large area. He took over my large sewing cabinet and the rather open-drawered cabinet on wheels like you have. I bought lots of storage, but like you, I didn't plan enough drawers right beside my workbench. So I have ordered a Koala studio that will have all the storage and sewing area I need in a compact form. It will be great to have the room settled and get on with our crafts. Enjoy yours!

For your viewers, if you are building, tell your builder you want a floor plug. I had to fight for mine, but loved having it. My husband was the builder and tried to talk me out of it. I think it needs to be done when pouring your slab. Mine was also in the basement.

Amazing craft space. What I would suggest for in the future have your movable island have an outlet built-in and have an outlet in the floor. This will all you to power your movable island's outlet the wires will be tucked hidden. Depending out far you move your island from the center of the room, you can have multiple floor outlet. Also to continue the flow of wood you can have wood covers over the outlets when it is not in use.

Amazing! I am a new Stampin Up Demonstrators and this room is such an inspiration 💌 Idea 💡- if you haven’t already done anything with the cord coming down from the ceiling, you could wrap it with Jute Cord and hang your current cards from it! You can get mini wooden clips from the Dollar Tree - thank you for sharing 😍

What an amazing craft studio. Whoever built and installed your cabinets and countertops did an awesome job. Love your island. A basement with all that outside light, how wonderful. Yes Miss Angie, a Big CONGRATULATIONS to your New work space I must admit, "I am Jelious!" Lol I think your space is Beautiful and there is no doubt you will be making some wonderful products in it. I am a fellow Canadian SU Demonstrator and though my affiliation with the company is not as serious as yours (as I know you do it as your Full Time job) I am happy for you and enjoy following the work you do to have such a successful business. You mentioned you are in the basement? Your home must be built with tall ceilings to be able to have such a large but clear view from its windows. Much Love and continued success for all that you do. Nice room. I hope you've called your home insurance company and put what's called a "rider" on your home insurance. If you were to have a fire or other tragedy in the house (flood, etc) your regular home insurance wouldn't cover the cost to replace that room. Also if you have expensive jewelry (I have two wedding ring sets that are over 1.5 carat stones) that also have riders on my home owner's policy. Your insurance company if you don't have a rider on your home owner's and lose your wedding rings, you'll only get $1500 to $2500 depending on what insurance company you have. PLZ if you don't have a rider on your craft room....do this before sundown Monday!

Beautiful space. When I redid my craft room, I had certain spots in mind for certain functions. I found that once I started working in there more, I would find better solutions....like you mentioned wanting to be by the window. I also used Post-it notes on drawers awhile until I finally liked the placement of certain supplies in spaces before finally labeling. My only tip I would give you concerning the windows is watch the placement of your cardstock or fabric in your room (if not stored in closed containers where light can get to it). I had the sun draw the color out of some of my cardstock I had in clear containers all along the edge of one side of the paper. Also on your cord coming down from the ceiling....maybe consider hanging some chains like they use on hanging ceiling lamps. You could get white ones or just spray paint them. I would suspend 3 and use center 1 to weave cord around. Then I would use the 3 chains as an Art display to clip cards you created to the chain. It would act kind of like an Art Mobile and still hide the functional use of the plug in the ceiling...And 3 chains would make it look balanced. I hope you understand what I'm saying. I'm a Midwesterner too and winter can be gloomy. I love all the light in your room. I've followed and enjoyed watching your videos...Thanks for sharing your lovely room. Stay healthy and happy.
