Craft with Me! - Decorating Ephemera from the To Do Box! 

I can't believe how much you accomplished with a little up font preparation. My new goal for today is to do the same for a new astronomy journal I want to make not a friend who has had a string of really sad and stressful events in his life the last few months. He has a long time interest in astronomy, and I am hoping that it will help to remind him that, however dark the night, the stars are still there.

I love watching your videos. They always bring a smile to my face. I have to tell you what happened the other day! I was watching another crafter on RU-vid and my husband walks in to the living room looks at the tv and says, “why aren’t you watching Gayle?” First I was shocked he knew the name of the crafters I watch on RU-vid lol and second that he could tell I wasn’t watching one of your videos. (Btw I watch your videos everyday after work.) So per my husband, you are the best crater on RU-vid and I shouldn’t be watching anyone but you. I so needed this today, it’s been a extremely difficult weekend and having your videos to watch has been my sunshine. The beautiful things you finished and worked on today, made my morning fly by. I am an owl addict, anything owl related brings and gives me joy. Because of circumstances out of my control I have to move again back to Billings and everything is so crazy high. I just LOVE this! You got so much done...and you were so organized...and your work space was SO clean & orderly. I saw you do several things I hadn't seen in awhile, so they were GREAT reminders!!! And that green journal packet you showed at the very first. YUMMY! You're THE BEST!

I am also a Call the Midwife fanatic! ( I am a retired OB nurse, so it really reasonates with me.) And I also loved Tyler Henry's new Netflix show too. My goodness, a few of them had me in tears. If you like him, there is a Amazon Prime Documentary called, "Messages of Hope" that is really great too. It's about a woman named Suzanne Guisemann who also has an amazing story. Anyway, thanks for always being a fun and inspirational crafting buddy!

I love "Call the Midwife" series! I can suggest another series that is some history about Queen Victoria, if you like history. It's not an old series, but it was on PBS a few years back. It is 3 seasons, each season is about 7 to 8 episodes and lots of facts about her royal family. I am not easily shocked at some of the things I read or learn about in our history, but some of the events in this series did surprise me. I found myself Googling things to see if they were true. I enjoyed the fashions, the scenery and the beautiful horses in the show. Gayle, have a very nice time at all of your retreats. I know you will. Be safe! And BTW...I am now 70 and I have fallen a few times, broke my hip once and now I go up and down stairs like a 3 year old child just to stay safe. It's alright to be careful.

Hello sweet friend, I’m so sorry to have been Mia off and on. So many health concerns with both John and me and so happy that I chose Hope for my word of the year. I’ve had a slight stroke recently and watching videos even on the tv is hard as my vision has been damaged . I’m doing so much better but, geez retirement is really not what I thought it would have been. Have a blast on your retreat. So wish I could organize one here. Have a place just not had the opportunity!! I’m excited for todays video as I’m working on my ephemera for my journal currently ( Botanical) and I always make my ephemera embellishments first ! Oh my these are so gorgeous! I really like owls and don't have enough owls in my life, lol I'm curious where you get your books that you use for pages? I've found a few broken/damaged books at yard sales and thrift shops. But I'm not sure that's the best thing. I'm worried about the longevity of using these pages since I'm not sure if they have water damage (or any other issue that may show up later).

I haven't noticed you mention Call the Midwife before today. I'm glad you're watching it! It's my favorite show & it's so hard to go so much of the year without it! You said it's relaxing for you both to watch it before bed. Me too...but it also makes me cry! EVERY episode!
