"Crafted Echoes" draws inspiration from the age-old craft of palm leaf weaving, a tradition that resonates with the soul of India. From the serene villages of Tamil Nadu to the bustling streets of Delhi, each palm leaf craft school tells a unique tale of resilience and creativity.|
This installation is tribute to the timeless legacy of craftsmanship and the intricate wonders of nature, woven seamlessly into an immersive art installation. Drawing inspiration from the ancient palm leaf weaving technique of Pulicat, Tamil Nadu, alongside various artisanal traditions, this project endeavours to enrapture audiences while nurturing a profound reverence for artisanal mastery.
At its essence, resplendent headgear crafted from intricately woven metal sheets serves as the focal point, embodying boundless creativity, innovation, and the organic evolution intrinsic to centuries-old crafts. Encircling this centrepiece, a headphone structure meticulously woven from palm leaves narrates the tale of resilience, transformation, and innovation as the path forward.
