The execution of your craft is nothing less than that of a master, craftsman, and artist. I've completed my 1st piece with aluminum wire capped with copper. When im ready ill break out my copper and brass. Cheers M8 and thank you.
@@samoasisifi I am very honored by your feedback 😊 - thank you very much for it. It's good to hear that you've made a good start with alu / copper - keep going, 👍 I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Thanks again.😉
My man U R not just making jewelry U R making art that people can wear. U deserve all the praise, respect, & love in the world. I'll be looking forward 2 more of your videos.😀🙂☺💗💗💗
I love your work and congratulations too to the one who made the video ! Working with metal, especially copper, is so very satisfying. The light, color, sound, touch, smell…. Your video really brings it all across ! My workshop is not accessible right now but I really felt like heading for it ! Big up to both of you !
Thank you very much for your very nice feedback. It gives me a huge motivation to continue making jewelry and making videos about it. Yes, it is me who both does the work and films / edits it. I completely agree that working with copper is very satisfying - I will also continue with it. Many thanks again.
Really enjoyed that mate, I make bulky copper bracelets too, and it’s rare for me to find a video that I enjoy on the subject, keep it up, and we’ll done on not overcooking the brazing rods, nothing worse than silver joints ;-)
From a fellow jeweller, who likes to specialise in heavy gauge statement pieces, that was superbly well done. I normally use Bronze or Silver on the basis that Copper is more likely to deform when worn but I am convinced that your piece will stand up beautifully. I’m curious-I normally use silver solder but I would love to know what solder it is that you used as it seems an excellent colour match for Copper. Once again, outstanding work and result. P.S. I use my Foredom for polishing and have a wooden holder that I treasure. It is two pieces of scrap wood, a base slightly thicker than the upright, which I clamp in place in a vice. The upright has a hole drilled through it, slightly bigger than my handpiece, with a narrow slit from the top of the hole to the top edge of the upright piece of wood. Just above the hole for the handpiece is a hole drilled through for a bolt which can be tightened to clamp the handpiece in place. It’s a simple design and something which you might find useful? I hope I’ve described it sufficiently for you to visualise! 🐺
Thank you very much, Peter - a very nice feedback, which I really appreciate. Yes, strong copper jewelery keeps its shape - you are absolutely right about that. Your description of your wooden holder is very nice - I can easily imagine it - I also think it would work for me. Thank you very much for the tip! I have actually bought some copper solder tin, (Rothenberger) which holds the color quite well - however, I have to be careful with soldering a little at a time - otherwise there may be a tendency for it to become too bright.
Mantap sobatku idea maha karyanya.. Anda pintar sekali dan hebat.. Sehat terus sobat dan jag kesehatan karna itu lebih utama. Salam oersahabatan dari saya. 🙏🙏🤝🤝🤝
Hi - Thanks a lot for your nice feedback :). I use Rothenberger copper solder and if I am careful with the soldering I can get a copper colored joint. If you put too much solder on, the copper-colored part will float out, and then you will have to grind away the silver-colored part.
Awesome bracelet, better than any I've ever seen for sale in a jewellery store. What was the diameter of the copper pipe you used to make the end caps?
Thank you very much for your great feedback. ☺ It is easier to get the thinner end of a loop through the other loops. And if the other end of the loop is more open, it's easier to get your awl through the first part of the loop. But it is intended that the 2 ends in the loops should be the same size when the loop is finished braiding. I hope I have understood you correctly and that my answer is understandable. 👍
Grazie mille per il tuo feedback. Utilizzo la normale cera lucidante per lucidarlo in modo che brilli, ma infine utilizzo la vernice zapon ipoallergenica per sigillare il rame in modo che non si ossidi così rapidamente.
Hey this is an amazing video and I'm wanting to get into this as a hobby. Any chance you can put a list of all the tools you used with links of where to get them? Also wondering what gauge the wires are, what grit sand paper, and what type of polishing compound you use. I'd greatly appreciate it as the internet is extremely vast and I'm having trouble with figuring out what to buy and don't want to spend too much.
Thanks al lot for your nice feedback :) You can easily start with a small gas burner, round pliers, pliers, a small hammer, some hand files and a small vise - and then you're good to go. You don't need to buy expensive jewelry tools - I just use the usual hand tools that are in my workshop. The twisted wire is 2x16G and the thick wire is 10G. I use sandpaper in various sizes starting with 320 and ending with 2000. To finish I use regular polishing paste (the blue one for maximum shine) I don't know what country you are in, but all discount hardware stores have everything you need (also on their websites)
@@my-projects Of course you make some great things man! I've been looking at harbor freight I'm in the U.S they have almost everything I need. And I already have quite a bit of the hand tools and sand paper. I guess I'm mainly trying to find the right solder cause I can't find the kind you use. What kind of block do you use to heat and solder on? Also not sure where to get the sulfuric acid. Is that better than pickle or is it the same? And last but not least do you use boric acid or any type of flux?
@@ZamirCastillo-Abdullah I found this on Amazon, www.amazon.co.uk/Temperature-Consumables-Accessories-Conditioner-Refrigerators/dp/B08NB332F2?crid=3CPKUIAHJJ7DN&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.7bN3_v3LtMJhHoHOlOuz25XZQ5ifAkM5i2yzGVMij-jv3K2O5WrtV3e1akcHk0jeyX6WC7wPsOaz8kaYrPudJQsO6HoOg1ttdEQYBeJCrmNXTYQ77G_O6wr75c76ONIYc7O42Za7Kjj22hP_KXXiHH2n0dJKZbaVmtajgT1ZsEx017lnR8f4eiQOtGBWdZ3zd40Q3E7YhvQSGGz56QdBoG5F_XaxQJCjL1dVWmcpmclzasEhg0BoxBPyXYYHGxSc8QxAs1vQx14IZ6SQuBeLvvmy-KxlxiAIxzD17SkiPaE.e7QOKLzlc-bSHifNHOsdOFjgIIYtSF7yeeOQ9I4is_E&dib_tag=se&keywords=phosphorus+copper+solder&qid=1710699007&sprefix=phosphorus+copper+solder,aps,146&sr=8-23-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=darvetholmes-21&linkId=b9a5a4a8f005a98373003ce0fcd75306&language=en_GB&ref_=as_li_ss_tl I haven't tried it but it looks like you can use it - just be careful not to use too much or it will turn silvery. If you can't find sulfuric acid 24%, you can also use sandpaper - it's just more difficult. You can allso use pickle instead - it's pretty much the same. For small solders I do not use flux, but for the slightly larger ones I use flux paste
@@my-projects YOU ARE AMAZING thanks ! I'm going to follow this list and get what I need. For the sulfur acid it looks like I can order online. Is the difference that you don't need to warm it up like the pickle?
@@ZamirCastillo-Abdullah I think it's more a matter of attitude - because you can easily also heat it up, so cleaning the copper goes faster. I hope you will enjoy the proces :)

@@my-projects Oh that´s nice, nature sounds are good for relaxation which is quite needed when focusing on works such as the pieces of art that you produce. :)
Отлично... Сначала плести из жестких жил, а потом сделать отпуск металла.. Это чтоб плести было сложнее, или чтоб получился кривой и неравномерный рисунок... или всё сразу???
