Crafting Courage: Symbols and Charms of WWI 

During the brutal warfare of World War I, soldiers found comfort in small talismans and handmade charms. Inspired by the digital exhibition “Charmed Soldiers,” Specialist Curator Patricia Cecil explores how simple handicrafts and charms like Nenette and Rin Tin Tin dolls came to be beloved symbols of luck, faith, and hope among troops of the Great War.
