Yeah it's pathetic isn't it. I really hate the table tennis competitive culture; endless clapping after shit points, shuffling feet, wiping hand on table, taking forever to serve, holding up your opponent, screaming chinese words that you can't pronounce after winning a point. Truly worthless.
This game is won on the serve/service return. Even though Craig’s jab serve was spinny and deceptive it drifted long too often and McBeath could attack it, whereas McBeath’s were short and tight. Craig virtually didn’t get to attack it once, he was forced to push, especially the short reverse pendulum to his forehand. He misread this and popped it up a few times. Also as Craig kept using the same motion, he allowed McBeath to get used to it and he read it better and better as the game went on. If Craig had changed his serve more (backhand, pendulum etc) and kept them short then he could have attacked some of the returns and kept McBeath guessing more. His faster topspin jab serve seemed to get a more passive roll return so he should have been ready to loop kill this, but he was too passive with the return and didn’t use this enough.
Lmfaooo. I knew there would be a comment like that. He was doing the deceptive serve like serving backspin but finishing the bat as if he did top spin. But some of the other crazy shit he teaches, I didn't see none of that here.
I know that you know this game quite good but this was hard to watch. One dimensional Serv, not varying the spin and going for the risky shots when struggling are bad decisions. You were crashing him in the beginning and then he started to anticipate but you didn't reach to that. Kept playing the way you play...
Lmao I knew there would be some ppl who would try to boast their knowledge of table tennis here. (I said some so plz don't be angry unless u are one of them)
No he's not, Everytime he does the serve he alters the spin with slight movements, if you played table tennis for a reasonable amount of time you would know this.
I agree with Riceboi TF2. He's doing a deceptive serve for the most part. Serving backspin but finishing the blade topspin, and vice versa. But the other player did a good job reading it and returning correctly.
i must agree with @AsSaS!n GAMING. even though he did some variations (spins/placements/long/short) with his serves. it's still one serve (looks like Par gerell serve). why not mix up different serve. why not throw some backhand serves, or r. pendulum. looks like he didn't want to go out of his comfort zone. Look at Ma long, FZD, Timo, Dima, DN, they do different types of serves in one game, not just variations in one type of serve especially when the match is not working out for you. (well, just saying i know it's hard when you're under pressure during a match, i have made same mistakes, many times, keep forgetting i can do more than one type of serves)
Richard J is correct. The other guy just did a really good job reading and returning. The other guy though is literally doing the same reverse pendulum serve every serve.
