I got a $250-300k classic car which who knows 10 years for now could go for a million they just aren't easy to find and I know every person who has one in the US.Thats how few.@@sandoshack
This is actually my favorite episode of all time… it’s the only time ever an expert comes in to actually buy something in the shop! On top of that the expert buys the thing that they appraised! It’s freaking amazing.. I wish there were more episodes like this.
the experts sell a ton of stuff from the show, it's just not shown on tv. Alex from IMA (the newish weapons expert) sells a ton of the weapons they get through his company IMA, which is why rick trusts his appraisals so much.
Some mother fuckers just do. I know this one guy who will always ask for 2 or another of WHATEVER you give him. HIM: Hey can you lend me a dollar? ME: Sure HIM: Can I have two. HIM: Hey thanks for buying me coffee this morning. ME: Sure. No problem. HIM: Can you also buy me a donut? HIM: You mind if I bum a smoke? ME: Go ahead. HIM: Can I have two? HIM: Thanks for buying me dinner tonight. ME: It was my pleasure. HIM: Will you also buy me dessert?
This show helped me awaken my love for everything about history. It was my favorite subject in school and it still is now in everyday life. Its a wonderful subject of triumphs, tragedy, drama and even humor. Everything about it find interesting.
I feel so bad for the person who sold it for 75c they could have done so many things with that like paying off a mortgage, going on a vacation, starting a business etc. If they see this there heart will sink down to the bottom of the Mariana Trench
Read between the lines in the video. The original seller was in a hurry and going out of the country. Rick didn't have it appraised and took a shot in the dark on the price. Rick took the risk and got rewarded (could have gotten burned though). Simple risk & reward principle.
HKim0072 read between the line ricks a scumbag and has made a living off of screwing people over who have less money and are in need .. If ricks taking a risk it's damn sure not for 6 grand ,he knew this thing was worth a lot of money but couldn't afford to look like a complete scumbag to his entire audience..smdh
Craig hand was shaking while looking at it... this means he already had a buyer... and he earned lot for it... he wanted it the first time he saw the piece..
because it's not something you're gonna sell if you put it on display. Nobody that just walks into the store will buy it. As they said, it's the kind of stuff they have to find the buyer. So no point in displaying it.
Love this. It was made back when cloisonné art was still taken seriously. I collect and make pins which can use the same process but this is top notch craftsmanship.
Rick kind of reminds me of that lady who rolled in asking 1000 bucks for that Faberge brooch and Rick was like, I'll give you 15 grand. Then she was all like, how about 17. When Rick asked for dinner, that's what it reminded me of. The sneaky Pete.
s bright no it is now proved to be real the company had no records of the peice because a hundred years or so ago the Faberge office in Switzerland was Ransacked when Faberge died the company thought it could be a fake it's not the typical design! But the documents for the brooch were found in another Faberge office out of Switzerland and the value is way higher than first thought!
Guys we the Polish give this order not only to Poles but also to our best foreign allies. So u can buy it or help us make our country great again and we will give it to you.
He would have made profit on it regardless eventually , imagine how many contacts rick has and how many people watch the show , someone out there sooner or later would get in touch , explain what it was and offer a price
Craig is a honest guy, he offered a price on the range that he told Rick that the medal was worth (30k-40k) knowing that Rick paid only 6 k, Craig could have offered 12 k and win a lot of money, but he respected Rick and also make some money.
Tonight i met a couple from Poland in Sanggar Olah Seni Bandung. They both are punkers and willing to held some night charity in the Sukabumi along with punkers from Germany and KL Malay. Sukabumi was hit by landslide so many casualities and a traditional village got burried. Greatful to have them.
@@coffeebot3526 It's a buy low, sell high business. Pawn shops, car dealerships, coin shops, etc all follow this model. Their whole business is built upon ripping people off.
@@regaininglife9084 thats what you call business they not ripping people off lol it's like you telling me the buyers are stupid, if someone willing to pay 40k let me tell you they far from being dumb they know what they buying.
800 years? I'm polish and what I learned in school is that Poland lost Independence in 1795. After 123 years Poland gain freedom again. After WW1. Than we lost it to USSR and again gained it 1989.
it always bothered me, like how come Poland was not independent, when its was not part uf USSR? It was ruled by poles, communists and what not, but still by poles, unlike any part of USSR, of course, politics was influenced by Warsaw Pact, but now it is influenced by EU and NATO, and yet, nobody is saying , that Poland is not independent now. It just does not add up to me.
The scenes were shot the same day. Craig wears the same shirt. Just pulled off his jacket for the second shot. And Rick wears the same watch. Craig as well but Rick wears a lot of different watches.
1. It's not a medal, it's an Order. 2. I'm not sure who Craig said the manufacturer was, it sounded like Fowen, but in fact these Orders were manufactured by the house of Keibel, Julius or Albert Keibel, depending on a period. 3. It was basically the second ranked highest Order in imperial Russia, behind only the Order of Alexander Nevskiy and on par with the Order of St. Vladimir.
