I’ve gotten quite a few comments on where Catalina/WWDC19 is and the answer is that the entire Catalina part got blocked from Apple so no one was able to watch the video, so I had to remove it. I wish I could have kept it in though.
I worked with Craig back in 2009 before Steve died. Not only is he funny, kind and gentle. But he has a killer smile and makes people feel super special.
0:51 “Some say that he’s a CIA experiment that went wrong, and that he only eats cheese. All we know is he’s not the Stig, but he is the Stig’s American Cousin.”
Some say he's locked in a brand deal with Apple, and that he only eats apples because of it. All we know is that he is _not_ the Stig, but in fact the Stig's brand deal cousin.
Both Steve Jobs and Craig share the same method and art of storytelling to sell you their products that other CEOs and spokespeople simply lack. Rather than spouting off numbers and memorizing lines or straight up reading off a teleprompter like a robot, they both embody enthusiasm and humor, and use story telling to reel you into the ultimate point they're trying to make. Most presentations can be a real snooze fest, even for things like video games at E3. But thankfully Craig has that Steve Jobs spirit. Though it probably won't happen, whenever Tim Cook has to step down, Craig is the guy I'd want leading Apple.
Oh they knew what it meant. Full screen support before that was awful if you used multiple displays. The second display was completely useless as it could not have an app open and was just a grey background.
@Larry 457 people don’t realize how much Apple and the world has changed since Tim became CEO. Apple literally has the money power and influence of a country. We all loved Steve but Apple has needed a diplomat, Steve was a “little” hotheaded to run Apple during these times. Craig I don’t think would want to be CEO, he wants to run Mac Software it’s where he shines. All 3 guys have their strengths and Apple has done great I think in the last decade.
1:00 Some say that he is Steve Jobs and that he only sees the world in 1's and 0's... all we know is, he isn't the Stig, but he is the Stig's gamer cousin
"In El Capitan we added Metal, our groundbaking----groundbreaking graphics technology..." he's not slick, we all know that marketing team was high as hell up in the Sierra mountains
Im a bit suspicious. Why the crack marketing team goes to the mountains almost every year? They probably want to name it `HIGH` Sierra for a HIGH number of reasons..
Apple or any tech company for that matter really needs a CEO with Craig's Sense of humor and his personality, Tim Cook's extraordinary management and profit making decisions, Sir Jony Ive's designing skills and Steve Job's charisma and his desire for innovation. Now that will be a true tech company.
Mac Os Names are sometimes so good I wish they never change them. Like I become nostalgic when I hear these names. Also Big Sur does not make me want to change from Catalina.
Just for the context about the iphone X FaceID snafu. It was because one of the backstage workers who tried the faceid (unable to unlock it of course because it was not the saved face) and the iOS defaulted into password input as security measure after several failed attempted by that person.
13:18 The IPhone actually worked as it was supposed to. The guys setting up the demo triggered the phone too many times and it caused the phone to require a passcode before continuing.
im not a apple fan at all and i use android and windows . But i do understand now why people love apple. Gosh, this guy has some great presentation skills and seems like a really nice guy. But also what is sad to see , in every presetion people laughing and so on. But in 2020 its only him in an online presentation. But he still is the best choice apple could make to let him present the products!
