Still can't believe all these years later that he left his show on late night. No other late night show today even comes to the crazy entertainment and fun he had on his show. Man , he should come back. He was silly and nuts. His show was how he wanted us to view the world. Or view his world rather. Hilarious !
The late night industry changed. They started getting scripts from the news room network editorial boards. They were to punch satire stories that matched the news that evening...a full out partisan infotainment package. Writing was on the wall when he did his Scotland Week in 2012 and they went behind his back to set up US presidential political stuff and prescript the guests. His was a no script, improv show. The Comedy Central and SNL hosts from CableClown came over and did everything they were told to do.
Damn he’s talented I miss his late night show and wish he would consider coming back. There’s a lot of great late night people but nobody matches Craig I’m not trying to insult anyone but my god he’s great. Maybe I should just appreciate that we have videos and memories and of course we catch him here and there if we’re lucky. He’s awesome here.
