I was there. This was at Davies Symphony Hall, a Craig Ferguson show that was a killer. This was the last thing, they did a dance number to Britney Spears and this guy danced out onto the stage and joined in. Took us a minute to realize what was happening. We had been told at the start of the show to put our phones away or they'd be taken away from us. Then this. People slowly realized it was Robin Williams dancing with Craig. F the ban, everyone's phones came out. There's more videos of it out there, just can't find any of them right now.
Found this on Craig's Twitter account and I'm so glad that I did! So great to have two amazing guys that are willing to do something as cool and hilarious as this together :) I miss Robin so much already but I hope that he's in a better place and is happy now. RIP Robin, your legacy will live on forever
After 9 years, you can sort of see that he's starting to show some symptoms of motor discoordination in his arm movements, even for someone his age trying to follow a dance he didn't practice.
What an internet treasure! Thank you for being in the right place at the right time and thinking to record it! What a lovely memory of such a playful spirit. Thank you again!
The greatest talk show guest/comic/actor/human dancing with the greatest talk show interviewer. Whenever these two are together an angel gets its wings and a unicorn is born laughing. Do a RU-vid search for "Robin Williams Craig Ferguson" and you will watch some of the best and funniest interviews that will make you pee from laughing so hard. R.I.P. Robin Williams
C Russ What a beautiful post. And I agree: the combo of Robin and Craig is uniquely hilarious. I have watched those interviews dozens of times over the past few years and they never ever bore me. So sad there will not be another addition to the series... I was hoping that Craig's very last show in December would feature Robin :-(
I watched this with a huge smile, out-loud-laughter....and tears streaming down my face. You were too good for this world, Robin Williams. Now you've slipped the bounds of this existence, and belong to the ages. Please accept my belated thank you for all the laughs. May you rest in eternal, blissful peace. O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells; Rise up--for you the flag is flung--for you the bugle trills; For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths--for you the shores a-crowding; For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning; Here Captain! dear father! This arm beneath your head; It is some dream that on the deck, You've fallen cold and dead.
OMG this was beautiful, I still miss this beautiful man and it's 5 years later. So sweet and heartfelt. The world still holds you in their hearts❤️️ RIP Robin
I just saw this for the first time the other day. I just bust out laughing at the sight of them all doing that idiotic dance at the chorus. That's the funniest thing I've seen in a long long time. Thank you Craig and Robin.
This is the best! I have watched it many many times, and it always makes me laugh or smile. Thank you Robin and Craig for all you did to keep the world laughing.
I saw this in person and am very glad someone put this up here, I'll be able to relive this memory many many times!! Well I'm downloading it just in case :P TYVM!
I'm so happy this is still here. I've been watching clips of Craig Ferguson's late night show, and he mentioned this during a conversation with Joel McHale. I immediately went looking for it. The silliness these two have put out into the world is medicine for the soul. Thank you for sharing
I haven’t seen this one in quite a while. After hearing Monster Mash, I decided I needed some cold opens. I miss Robin Williams so damn much. So glad Craigy is still with us, even if he’s not still doing tv & tours. Just knowing he’s here makes things better.
OMG, thank you soooo much for posting this ... I was in the 7th row, laughing harder than I have ever laughed .... never knew Robin was right in front of us! So sad, today, the day after his death. This totally cheered me up for a couple of minutes.
Just saw this amazing vid on craig's show tonite...he found this and broadcasted it on his show! I saw this shortly after it was posted and loved it. Thank you for posting this. #RipRobinwilliams
I was there and I loved it! I had my camera and I never used it! If you consider yourself a fan I think what you do is not really ethical. We really liked it because it was a surprise! He is on tour you know and you are giving away part of his act! Think twice! Cheers,
Robin Williams is actually a very good dancer. There is footage of him from Mork & Mindy doing some ballroom dancing. A lot of untapped talent in that area.
This has to be the best likes/dislikes ratio of any video I've seen here on RU-vid. I love pretty much anything these two guys have done (except the addictions).
@marvolomethod This is the way Craig was ending his stand-up shows. ...not usually with Robin--what a hell of treat that must have been for the audience.
Craig was one of the few people that could keep up with Robin. You could sort of tell he was trying a bit harder to self regulate than he does on other shows because Craig wouldn't necessarily stop him and Robin wasn't necessarily the craziest one there.
OMG I love this Craig thank you I loved Robin he was just an absolute genuine person. I think he just wanted to normal like the rest of us never thought he was better than anybody. God gave him this emense talent. and he used to help as many people he could. RIP Robin wish we could have saved you. 😇
I don't know if you answered this before, but what was the occasion here and who are the two other guys? What a great combo and what a shame Craig was shafted for the 11:30. If Colbert's appearance(s) as himself on the Emmys was any indication, Black Rock will be sorry.
it was the finale of Craig's tour. It what he always does at the end of the act. On this occasion he was in San Francisco and Robin came out to see him perform and decided to join him on stage as a surprise for the audience and probably for his own enjoyment as well.
@my221b thanks for correcting the song this CRAIG FERGUSON N POSSE IN ALL AWESOMENESS HE ALSO SANG AND DANCED TO THIS SONG AT CARNEGIE HALL IN OCT 2010, I NORMALLY DONT LIKE BRIT SPEARS SONGS BUT CRAIG MAKES THEM LIKEABLE WITH HIS ACT!!!
@TheSackings23 Sweet Wee Baby Jesus, THANK YOU!!!! Greatest thing I've EVER seen. EVER. As you said, "FUCK YEAH!" P.S.---Are you Ozzie? Were you on holiday in SF? What a surreal experience. I used to live there and it's truly magic. Thank You for this.
@MissBananaHappy I know what you mean but still I would have waited till the tour is over. Besides that's what they made clear at the show so I would have respected his request.
