I know why he did the two divisions for one million each, but I think he should have done four divisions for men and two for women, with 400k for every winner of each division. 400k is still life-changing for these kind of athletes, and so many more athletes would jump over for sure! 10k for participating and 400k to win would have been awesome

I'm very mixed on the topic. I will definitely support both events but I just feel like it's wrong to bail on an event that you already make commitments to. Of course, I understand the fighters wanting to be paid but like you said ADCC was not designed to make money. It was designed to bring the best grapplers in the world together and see who the best is like the olympics. Also, the fact that it's on flow will always hurt It's finances because it's locked behind a paywall and the greater audience will not even be aware of it. They should have stayed with UFC because then they could have at least promoted it on UFC and ESPN which would have come with more sponsors. Plus the fighters going into CJI only one will win a million dollars. The others will just walk away with 10k and risk never getting invited to ADCC again if CJI is a one off
