Highest i've seen was a Ben Nevis 8 year from Single Malts of Scotland bottled for Kirsch at 67% Actually there are also some Bunnahabhain Signatory casks i've seen at 67.9 and 68.2%

Hi Jason. The highest ABV scotch single malt I’ve had was an 11 year old Ardlair, matured in a refill butt at a whopping 65.5 % . Slàinte Jason.

Bunnahabhain and Signature Vintage are the only two age statement single malt whiskys from Scotland that are within the 60% to 69% abv bracket. Highland Park and Aberlour A'Bunadh are no age staements that are within the 60% to 69% abv bracket🍈🍏🥝🥒

There are no age statement whiskeys of over 10 years within the 60% to 69% abv bracket anywhere in Ireland🎃🎱Non existent⚽️🏈

Hello Jason, the highest abv I've tried was a friend's smws bottling of Glenallachie that was 69.something%, a couple of years ago. It had lovely sweet fruity flavours but felt a bit like rocket fuel even after some water was added. I guess if I'd had longer with the bottle it might have become easier to figure out how much water to add. You say Scotch doesn't have an upper limit unlike Bourbon. I may be mistaken but I thought I'd read somewhere that ~94% was such, for column-still product? Maybe that's more a "scientific"/physical than a legal limit, per se?
