I'm paranoid too. People say if you dont have anything to hide then you shouldnt be worried. Fuck that. People today are weird. So yes im paranoid as well
You can't say you did a flip when you don't even have the money in your hands bro. Just bc Google says its $14k means that you'll get that 14k. You'll get way less than that.
Normally id agree but the google website said 42 day lead time. Someone looking for a brand newmachine will pay 14k just to not wait a month and a half if he advertises that he has it in the right places
Team33 he sold it dumb ass and my $60k+ 2017 Silverado has that as well as my girlfriends 2015 passat ....most cars now a days have nitrogen and any dealer service cars it just coming around
It helps maintain consistent pressure in cold weather. Even if you don't think it's valuable for filling tires, there's plenty of other uses for a nitrogen generator.. Nitrogen is used to dispense some beers (I have a kegerator with a nitro tap for Guinness at my house). There are paintball guns set up to run with nitro because it is more consistent, especially in cold weather. It's sometimes used as a shielding gas for welding. There are bike shocks that are filled with nitrogen.. The right buyer is out there somewhere.
By ''it'' I assume you mean nitrogen. I know nitrogen helps maintain consistent pressure in cold weather and nitrogen helps maintain consistent pressure in extreme heat situations. That all being said unless you are driving a race car or crossing Siberia just plain old compressed air will do the job just fine. I will be the first to say that nitrogen has plenty of practical uses where it is the most efficient and best option. As a shielding gas for welding nitrogen is just terrible. In my 20 years of welding I have only used nitrogen as shielding gas for one job, and it was a blend of 98% argon/ 2% nitrogen. Nitrogen is to blame for many of the substandard GMAW welds that come from China. As a shield for MIG welding nitrogen causes a laundry list of problems excessive spatter, brittle weld metal deposits, undercutting and erratic arc just to name a few. I will agree in cold weather situations nitrogen has stepped into the arena where CO2 was once king. The nitrogen gives less freeze up problems at valves, inlets and outlets. Nitrogen is used as the atmosphere in many heat treat operations. I worked at a place with a massive heat treat oven that was an endothermic gas generator. It had a natural gas burn off to distill nitrogen for it's own atmosphere. I have no doubts that he will be able to sell that nitrogen generator, I never said he would not. If a nitrogen fill or top off was free with any tire service I would let them put it in my tires, common sense just dictates that a nitrogen fill or top off is not a service worth 5-15$ on a daily driver! If you truly had to have all the air out of the tires you would need to pull a vacuum or have 2 valve stems so that you could purge the tire. On gas displacement industry usually demands 7 volume metric cycle changes to qualify as a purge.
Yup. The strong and powerful take what they want in life. That's how things work. The weak lose and serve the strong. Been that way forever, will be that way forever.
The seller knew the machine was expensive. He stated it was worth about $10k but his first offer to sell was $1500 and then let's it go for $750 ?? This thing is STOLEN.
That's not really true, sometime people just want stuff gone. A bird in the hand is better then 2 in the bush. My dad owned a huge furniture manufacturing business in Ohio. When my dad retired and sold off his old machinery for a few thousand. We are talking about industrial Jointers, Planers, Automated Saws, CNCs that cost $10-20K each, and he sold them for nothing because he didn't want to move or store them while he waited for a better buyer.
Kevin King agreed... while it could be any possibility maybe the dudes just being honest and made a nice come up. Cash in hand is a powerful thing. These guys commenting have probably never brokered a deal 😂
True, in our biker's world, when someone lists his bike for sale with all the bling and mods, and expect way too much for it, we usually say: The bike is worth how much the buyer wants to pay, not how much you want to sell it for.
So funny that I just randomly came across your channel. I'm in Vegas too & I've made over $2k flipping stuff on Craigslist this week...It would be awesome to come across a $14k flip. Lucky! 😄
I counted over twenty ...in the first four minutes. He was straightforward, honest, easy to understand and explained himself well so I give him a "thumbs up". Good, true to form vid. Good job.
i once found 2 huge bags of Pez dispensers at Goodwill and when i got home, realized they were all never-been-released from 1965. so i got them appraised and they were worth $200,000. so i returned them to goodwill and said i wanted my $10. What a rip off man!!
Dude you had me dying with laughter over here your a great story teller.and I can totally relate cause I buy and flip stuff from Craigslist too and the people you meet sheesh 😂😂😂
When my brother passed I basically gave away so much of his stuff-like motors, hoists, a lot of really heavyweight car stuff that we were anxious to get rid of to rent out this property. We could have made a lot of money but didn't have the time or the manpower to move it so we basically donated it. One
Like I said, we didn't have the time or the manpower to move the stuff and we needed it gone to rent this building, our building not my building. Wait 'til you get in that situation. My bro was in a different state and...it's complicated.
shinrips well I'm older and have already been in such situations, but I'll tell you, when I pass people better really look through my stuff cuz I have a shit ton of money mixed up in my stuff. I have knives in my junk collection that are beat up looking but worth a lot of cash. Like a $125.00 for a old looking knife. And then my vintage muscle car stuff and Harley Davidson stuff. Off in a corner for instance is a fresh air Hood that is easily worth $2600.00 or an air cleaner base that is $800.00 but just looks like an average air cleaner for a car. And then a bare original hemi block and heads that are worth like $5000.00. I have easily a half million dollars to 3/4 million worth of stuff that looks like scrap to someone who doesn't know. Just selling a couple of handguns would pay the rent for a few months till they can figure out and price the rest. Can you now see what I'm saying?
I'm with Mark. I mean, assuming he doesn't live in a high cost area or high cost house like downtown LA where your mortgage is 10 grand a month, then it would make sense to sell a couple things to make the payments for a couple months until you could sell it. You could also get a pretty decent Storage unit for 50-100 bucks a month to hold the stuff. And you can hire profesional moving guys to help you for like 120 bucks an hour or so. And just rent a Uhaul. I mean, you might spend 1,000 dollars or so to do it but not bad. I read a funny quote somewhere one time and it said "The only thing I fear, is when I die my wife will sell my tools for what I told her I paid for them".
dedalliance1 HAHAHA love the quote. Yeah, I'm in a high cost area of Cleveland.lol Seriously I just don't get how some people can be so oblivious to what's around them. I guess they just rely on the people who sort the shit and wait for them to say 'sir, we found this trunk full of old cash and jewels that your dad had stashed and we believe it's yours'. And then the people take the extra money and jewel's and flip the movers an extra hundred. Then they just fold it into the rest of their money and go on as oblivious as before.
As a certified distributor for Parker/Legris, I can tell you you're not going to get what you think you will for that. If you can sell it at all. lol. Nice find, however.
it could be sold.. I would check oil change shops that claim they pump your tires to the correct psi for free during oil change.. I've worked for a few and the cars that come in with nitrogen caps we usually dont touch em. .simply because we dont have nitrogen.. a manager may be willing to pull that out of his budget
It's definitely worth more than 750. He could flip it for an easy couple thousand. but 14k? no, that won't happen. Not even close. I couldn't even get that much if i tried to sell one, as a retail distributor.
bssmaster1 .. why ??? whats wrong with this brand .. that you distribute yourself... or is it that nobody cares about the benefits of nitrogen air in there tires... ? ...i guess most people dont realize why nitrogen is better...
Dude, your awesome and thank you for everything you do. I started my EBay/Amazon and about to move into Shopify soon. It’s nice to finally quit my job!! Thanks again mike!!
You'll be lucky to flip it for $2000! Only person that will by it is a small oil change or local mechanic shop type of guy and they are looking to increase a few bucks on each service. A dealer will spend 10,000 from their tool rep or own parts house before they buy from a random guy. Local tire guy may give you $1500. If I had it the first place I'd try to sell it is to a RV park or smaller RV repair shop. The new travel trailers and motor homes are becoming more and more nitrogen filled.
I do the same thing. I don't want people knowing where I live or my number. I do everything by email and sold everything I ever posted. A few times I called with my number and sold my car at my house. Other then that I like doing everything by email and meeting up somewhere. Nothing weird about that.
Crazy i grew up in cleveland looking at the parker corporate building. It was smack dead in the hood surrounded by gates. I never knew wtf they did. Now i know.
ur right...what he made or will make doesnt matter but dont title it "flip to $14,000 just bcus thats what they are going for retail brand new. it is clickbait...ppl like myself watch videos on youtube by reading the title and i was curious to see what he did to make that $14k and watched whole 6mins of the video expecting to see how the flip was done only to find out that $14,000 was a price some website sells the item for. i just wasted 6mins of my time watching this bs when i could of made $6 working. good thing it wasnt a 20min video that would of really pissed me off.
I tried to look it up on eBay I can't find anything that's has sold for more than 500 when searching nitrogen tire inflator. I found a high-end power wheelchair looked up the retail it was $15,000 it was at a thrift store for 250 bucks. I was like that's a no-brainer. I had it on eBay for 3 months before I got an offer of 700 and took it. Hope you make a profit good luck.
I'm more interested with the cross, you are one lucky SOB.. when I saw that, all sorts of crazy stuff came to my mind that I would love to make use of it..
damn dude nice job. we had an older version of that brand at my last job. they pretty much stopped manufacturing them there for awhile! seriously good job on the flip. nitrogen feels way better than oxygen in the wheels
+zevi 2000 I can only speak personally. when I had my stock wheels on with nitrogen swapped for oxygen it dealt smoother, also bumps and dips were much more gentle and cloud like after going over them. then when I had installed my rims (vossen CV3) with a low profile it sort of dealt the same but alot less of a gap between road and actual wheel so bumps were a little more rigid. still alot softer than with oxygen.
In most states your limited to the amount of cars you can sell per year without a dealer license. Not to mention the cost of registration, insurance, inspection, repairs, space, and having to wait a month for the title. It's really not worth it unless you know for sure your getting a really good deal which is rare. You would have to devote the majority of your time researching to only possibly find something. Truth.
Where do you go to sell something like this? What options do you have? I'm just wondering as I am learning to sell and would like to know if I come across something like this, where do I try and sell it.
I mean yeah it could be stolen but otherwise you just got lucky. Not necessarily a "flip" I doubt you'll get full $14,000 from it, but he doesn't know the full value apparently so you just took advantage. Happens all the time I got a 25,000 mile Miata from craigslist for $3,000 that Kelley Blue Booked for over $10,000. Could've sold it and made huge profit, but ended up driving the car and having a lot of fun with it.
Nick Then go ahead and try to find one in good condition under 20,000 miles and tell me how much it is. Oops you won't find one because I'm right and you have the education of a 4 year old who doesn't know shit about cars. gtfo
$750 for something with an estimated value of $14k? That machine has got to be stolen. Did he have any papers on it? Is he the original owner? ... I died as soon as I saw that bondage thing!😂😂😂
I hope that guy wasn't a serial killer. That device in a storage locker with bits of rope tied here and there. No joke. I'd be careful if you're meeting people at storage lockers from a craigslist ad.
