I have a campsite on my land and whenever I pitch my tent, a deer always comes during the night and talks to me. Keeping about 50-100 feet away in the woods. It's a whitetail deer. If you've never heard their calls before, I'm sure you can listen on youtube videos to whitetail deer calls. It's very unique. It will come and talk, several times in a row. Like well over a dozen times each time, sometimes upwards of 20 or so more calls. Then it will leave for a little while, around an hour, sometimes two or even three, then return and talk to me some more, about the same amount each times. Several calls in a row, brief pauses, then several more calls. It goes away I guess to eat and drink, perhaps rest, then returns to talk to me all through the night. It's pretty loud so it awakes me every time it returns to speak, however, I never mind at all and it feels great each time, even though it wakes me up. This happens every single time I camp there. This has been ongoing now for a few years. It's pretty cool. The first couple times, I thought it was angry at me, but I've come to understand it now, it's simply speaking to me. Of course, I don't speak deer so I have no idea what it's telling me on a human level, but as an American Indian, I suspect my spirit is understanding it's spirit and no doubt learning from it's wisdom. It's a very spiritual connection and I am honored to have it visit with me. Perhaps my ancestors in the spirit world are using it to communicate with me, and providing me with their instructions on how to live in a good way.
