@@HaydnG266 I've always thought they should have two different charts, and have the patient read off one with each eye. They may not "memorise" the letters as such, but for me, knowing what something should say often makes it easier to read. So in that case it might bias the second eye
@@george1garza ipsilateral, and consensual, ipsilateral, consensual ipsilateral reflex is when the light that enters the eye causes the pupil to dilate, consensual reflex is when the other eye responds to the same stimulus. If you watch him you will see him put his hand between both eyes, shine the light into one, and look at it. (Ispilateral) then he will shine the light in the same eye again but look in the other eye. (Consensual), then he repeats the process in the opposite eye.

Can we just take a second to appreciate how much this guys bedside manner has improved since the earlier videos he was featured in? His voice is softer, his requests are slower, he’s even more polite and he now exudes more warmth. It’s an undervalued skill.
