In this fishing video I'm fishing Wheeler Lake where I unexpectedly catch a fish species that could possibly be a state record fish (unofficially). The fishing bait and fishing technique I'm using is a simple way to catch a boat load of fish and will catch fish in not only big lakes, but also small rivers/lakes and ponds. It's a very addictive fishing technique, once you try it you'll definitely want to do it again ! ! ! Hope ya'll enjoy !

Thanks Landon I appreciate it I like to use just a enough of weight/ split shot to get that minnow down close to bottom. Depends on how big the minnow is and the current in the river at time. The bigger the minnow the bigger the split shot. I got a video coming up where I talk about that in a little more detail. Thank you for your comment 🎣🎣

@@RockyDrakeOutdoors That is some great information. I regular fish down on warrior river here in Walker county. I regularly see spots an largemouth chasing those shad near the surface. I have never really tried live bait, but you have convinced me to do so. Thank you so much for all the information and the videos and thanks for reaching back out to me
