September crappie in the Atchafalaya Basin.
"Sac-a-lait, Sac-a-lait" is what we say when we catch a nice crappie down here in South Louisiana.
I had a good day fishing to start September off. The rain finally gave us a break with a nice sunny day and the sac-a-liat were biting pretty good. I went back in the Atchafalaya Basin fishing in about 3 feet of water.

Not this week. I went to Morgan City Wednesday and it was tuff. No sac-a-lait in the boat. Ended up with two catfish and a few very small bream. I think the blue bird clear sky with a hi pressure system over head gave the fish lock jaw. Of course everybody I talked to said they loaded the boat with sac-a-lait two days before.

@@CajunStyleCrappie that's what I was told by several people as well. Couple older guys said Monday and Tuesday was sacalait heaven, then they just quit.
