Craps Hawaii - Laying the Back Wall 

Nice Job Mel. I’ve been teaching this play for almost 10 years now and part of the TrendSetterCraps play in the VDC thread at Skype Craps Chat we have for Craps Nation. I’m sure that’s where Sleepy, BDog, Clay and Ting got it from as its part of my CO7 trigger rules. Ok a few things I noted. You said you can only lose 1 bet. Just make sure you clarify, you can only lose 1 bet ‘IF’ you ask the dealer to take it down. If you say nothing and another box # rolls, well another $-31....you mentioned the Risk was $186. Actually the risk is only $31-$35 if you hop the HW. Also part of my play and I teach this is guys using PARR and using the Hard-Way set. (HW-set), if a double pitch you land on a Hard 4,6,8 or 10. So you lose -$31 as well right? But wait... there’s more... haha. If you hop the HW (give the dealer $190 and say Lay $30 each # along the back wall and hop the HW’s as well. A CO7 bets you net $110 and you stay up, or $120 and down. Now I would say if you caught the first CO7, then it’s ok to drop the dealer $70 and say “ take all my lay bets to $60 each and hop the HW for $2 each. If the 4&10 vig paid after the win you subtract $2 for the $30 ea lay and $4 for the $60 each lay... If you use a CO7 as the trigger as I teach, then you miss the first CO7 bc it’s the Trigger to enter LBW and win $120 net $110 on first win and now i repeat this bet and if I win 2 in a row, I then drop $70 and go to $60 each. Good to see this being showed in a video. I've been advocating this play on cool and choppy tables for quite a while now as well as using a shallow progression to win on approximately 75% of hands.

Great Strategy Mel to replace the Big Red Bet. Low risk high reward. H2B would be shooter needing to hit a 7 within 4 rolls or less. Probably lose money on a hot table but would work well on a cold table. Mahalo for explaining. 🤙🏾

Great idea Mel! I gotta try this and maybe even go up to laying 60 per number then like you said move the chips to place bet then hope for couple hits and then depress to 76 inside or something. Thanks brotha

Mel, I love this strategy! I have a slight tweak: any place number that is hit, you can simply martingale that number. Continue doubling each lay number so that all your place numbers are primed for the Seven for the big win.

Nice demo and excellent tip to make sure the dealer knows what you want I have used dice play expressions over the years that especially newer dealers had no clue

Seems you can let it roll until two box numbers hit and still be in profit. Recently watched Big AZ add DP & DC bets to the back wall strategy. Seems to be a good strategy for the tool box. Thanks for the teaching!

Good cold table system for a couple of rolls. If you start hitting numbers you will lose $31 per hit. It could add up quickly. I prefer isolating a lay to 1 number

Aloha brother. I like this. Considering I like to work come outs this is a very safe way to play cause we both know how often that dreaded 7 come out can happen.

Question: why would you not just put $30 on Big Red at 4 to 1 to protect from the come out 7?

Mel, I should of used this in Vegas 🤦🏻‍♂️we experienced so many cold tables.

Laying the back wall is for the come out roll only, dam that's good strategy never taught of it , I usually set my come out roll with my all seven set, and I usually hit 70% with the all seven set

Mel, good strategy but I think you have $60 +vig at risk if you leave it up looking for a PSO because first roll (not a 7) becomes the point, if the 2nd roll is another "point #" you've lost another 30 +vig. Then you take it down or leave it up. Basically risking $30 per roll because only 1"point#" could come up on each roll.

I was watching a session of Craps Nation and heard Birddog say he was laying the backwall. I had not heard of that bet - googled it and it linked to this vid. Asked BD about also - I have only been able to get into a casino 5 times since I started playing (covid closures) so want to try this on CO rolls.

Hi Mel, can you make a video showing the back wall with the least amount of money on a 10 dollar table.

If a person had a bigger bank roll they could put more than $30 on each number and then put a few chips on hopping 3.1 and 2.2 or 6.4 5.5 or both. A 4 or 10 isn't rare in the comeout roll. Plus there's only 3 ways to roll a 4 and only 3 ways to roll a 10. For example 3.1 and 2.2 means only one number out of the three is missing. If you do hopping with 6 or 8 it's 2 numbers out of the 5 possible numbers missing.

MEL you would have killed it. At the Orleans hotel this trip a Random shooter rolled on the come out roll 5 - 7's then ace deuce and 2 more 7's point 7 out. Dream roll for this Strategies. I will definitely be playing this just don't know when, how much and still thinking of what to do next. ( press )

Remember I wen' public school! 🤙 By the way, I can see my conversation with the Dealer, "Put up $180 lay bets on the back wall", "Which wall?" "Da' back wall", "Dis' wall?" "No my back wall!", "Where?" "Dea'!" "Call Security..."

Different, I will need to review this strategy a few more times to see if I agree with the premise.

So, I read through the comments to find out this strstegy is ONLY for come out roll right? So, if shooter roll 7, I win and keep playing the lay bets. If shooter roll any of the other numbers, I take all my bets down and take the $31 loss and wait for next come out roll? Or do I bet the dark side? I'm sure it's up to me to take the loss and wait or bet and try to win that $31 back somehow.

So how much do you give the dealer do you give them the big upfront?

Works great if its a cold table. Or else your lay bets start to get picked off.
